  • 17,943 national and local positions to be filled in the 2010 polls
  • 1  position is allotted each for president and vice-president
  • 12 seats for senators
  • 222 seats up for grabs at the House of Representatives
  •  55—or 20 percent of the total seats—allocated for party-list groups that represent the marginalized sector
  • 222 legislative districts per region are as follows: Metro Manila, 30 districts; Cordillera Administrative Region, 7; Ilocos Region, 12; Cagayan Valley, 10; Central Luzon, 22; Calabarzon, 19, Mimaropa, 17; Bicol Region, 14; Western Visayas, 18; Central Visayas, 15; Eastern Visayas, 12; Zamboanga Peninsula, 9; Northern Mindanao, 12; Davao Region, 11; Soccksargen, 7; Caraga, 9; and Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, 8
  • 80 seats each for governor and vice governors
  • 762 seats for provincial board members in the country’s 80 provinces
  • 120 seats are also available each for city mayors and vice-mayors
  • 1,346 city councilors or members of the Sannguninang Panlungsod
  • 1,514 seats each for municipal mayors and vice mayors
  • 12,116 municipal councilors or members of the Sangguninang Bayan would be voted for
  • Candidates can file their certificate of candidacy (CoC) from November 20 to 30 including holidays, Saturdays and Sundays, from 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. and from 8 a.m. to 12 midnight of December 1, said Jimenez.
  • 46 million to 47 million registered voters for the elections
