Senator Loren Legarda’s statement on PGMA “invited meeting” with Obama


On Philstar.com, Senator Loren Legarda was quoted “It is about time that Mrs. Arroyo and Obama should meet to discuss pressing issues. It has been in coming. They should walk their talk and rethink developments. U.S should help in every way possible to countries vulnerable to climate change impacts”.

Among senators who also commented are Francis Pangilinan, Aquino Pimentel, Manual Roxas II, Alan Peter Cayetano.

President Gloria Arroyo is scheduled to meet with President Obama in Washington on July 30.

    “I am like the bamboo, resilient,” Loren says proudly.This was in response to a question regarding her frequent changes in political affiliations.

    Well, where goes political prostitution here? I mean Loren is just fulfilling her task as an advocate of nature. Such statement is the right thing to be said to our president despite the number of issues she’s convicted with. Duty can be segregated to it, and this time if its for the good of our land… then, let’s compromise.

    This is not really Loren’s opportunity but an opportunity to Filipinos to be help in a bigger way.
