MANILA, Philippines—(UPDATE 2) Senator Maria Ana Consuelo “Jamby” Madrigal has announced she will join the 2010 presidential race.

“Today I cross the Rubicon. I am certain in my decision to run for the presidency of the Republic of the Philippines,” Madrigal said at a press conference in Makati Friday.

She said she would file her certificate of candidacy on November 30. Madrigal said her goal was to serve the nation faithfully. “It’s time for the nation to recover,” she said, adding she had no intention to settle for a vice presidential candidacy.

Jamby is a Good alternative Choice, knowing that she did not like of Those na nagpayaman lang sa Politika…Who are those running..mga lalaki at may pamilyang politiko…may mga business interest…

Jamby is a Good Choice and deserve to be on Palace knowing her capacity and she is not a TRapo…

Trapo means Traditional Politician… well I would not speak much but I think her actions speak louder. Hindi nya kailangan magpayaman kasi mayaman na siya.

Sana hindi maging gender ang isyu dito dahil wala naman itong kinalaman. Hindi lahat ng tumatakbong lalaki ay may pamilyang politiko at may mga business interest.

I found HOPE in our country when leader like JAMBY aspire to bring our much needed change in our political leadership. She is definetely NOT A TRAPO, Fearless in fighting against corruption and nepotism.

She take stand to protect the interest for the masses, protect the environment, the rights of women, the rights or migrant works, among others.

We support you Jamby. Jamby for President.

People think that a woman who cries and breaks into tears on the Senate floor, walks out after having a bad conversation with her fellow “workmates”, calls certain politicians “corrupt” on TV (not necessarily because they are corrupt) simply because she is angry at them, takes part in investigations that she has little knowledge or research of and comes with over the top, unnecessarily emotional speeches sans logic, sues family mambers for inheritance (that is right: SUES) and making unverifiable claims against other persons in the media, lack of track record, is MATURE enough to run for president, is qualified for the job, has a plan, and can make a GREAT difference in the country?
