Supporting Nick Perlas is a Support for a Better Philippines

The main reason that people will not support a new candidate is either because he is presumed to be non winnable or because the do not know him. These two reasons are flawed and should not be the basis of choosing a candidate to vote. The sole criteria for choosing a candidate is his qualification and platform of governance.

Candidates winnability is based on the fact if we will vote for him or not. If we believe in a candidate and vote for him then he can surely win but if we will not because we assume that our votes will be wasted then he will not win. A vote is not wasted whether a candidate wins or not… it is wasted if we vote for the wrong candidate.

Nicanor “Nick” Perlas is the only candidate that is more than qualified to be President of the Philippines. He is the only candidate with a complete development framework on how to make our country better and how together we can create a better future for this country. His problem perhaps is how to articulate this based on the colloquial or “masa” terms but is that a reason not to vote for him?

Nicanor “Nick” Perlas is the only candidate which sees every Filipino participation in solving the problem. Nicanor “Nick” Perlas is the only candidate who is spiritual in nature but transcends various religions. Nicanor “Nick” Perlas is the only candidate who is incorruptible. Nicanor “Nick” Perlas is the only candidate who had definitely walks his talk and stand by his principles.

I can say this because I have read on what he is, who he is and what are his plans. Will you vote for a candidate who boast about his qualifications alone but does not want to hear out your opinion? If we want to change this country everyone should contribute.

Some will say it is not yet time. But this is crap because since I am young this phrase was told time and time again but things happen despite that. It will be time if we says its time. It will be time if we act on it.

If we want to have a better Philippines for us and our children and our children’s children then PLEASE SUPPORT NICANOR PERLAS.

This is our chance to really make this country better and be proud of who we are as a people.

    to doorknob,

kaya nga dapat kilalanin kasi di pa kilala. until then hold your judgment unless kursunada mo na yung mga kilala na. ang aga mo naman masyadong nag-desisyon. but, that’s your right so ok lang.

as for me, i will hold my judgment.

as for me, i will hold my judgment on mr. perlas. yung sa iba kahit papaano kilala ko na sila.

    to mr. perlas,

can you please provide us with clearer plans of action. pardon me for saying, but right now it seems all you have to present are motherhood statements which are already quite commonplace thanks to our trapos. please show us why you’re different.

nah, i won’t bother spending my time to know a candidate who will be of no consequence. sayang lang oras ko.

nagpunta na ko sa website nya. hindi ako na-impress. sobrand layo ng mga ideas nya. hindi practical. hirap pa intindihin yung mga sinasabi nya don. feeling ko out of touch from reality siya.

pagkatapos ko basahin yung isang articel sa website nya, ayoko na magbasa ng iba pa. so from now on, i wont’t bother with perlas.

i agree with your observations. i saw him on tv once. he appears to me like he is the head of a religious sect made up of fanatics. his ideas are all loopy.

        • August 18, 2009 at 12:16 am

His ideas are crazy… perhaps yes because it is not common. But if he is indeed crazy why would the U.N. even listen to him? Why would the MDG be even based on what he has envisioned? Why would he be respected worldwide? Why would he win the Global 500 Award? Why would APEC leaders listen to him? Why would makers of pesticide listen to him? Why would farmers trust him?

He might not be the all telegenic person but I assure you that Nicanor Perlas is a person which walks his talk and makes a difference.

      1. Why Vote for Perlas? http://www.nicanor-perlas.com/Nicanor/why-vote-for-nicky.html

      2. Nicanor Perlas Platform – http://www.nicanor-perlas.com/Nicanor/platform.html

    • August 17, 2009 at 8:00 pm

Reality is being made and it is not the one that makes us.

Perlas had been an adviser to various U.N. arms… his ideas are the pattern of the Millenium Development Goals o ang sikat na MDG.

Now tell me based on this and more do you think he is boring and detach? Name me one of them and I will stop campaigning for Nick Perlas.

    • August 17, 2009 at 8:01 pm

I would like to quote this article entitled “The Myth of Electability” from http://1truebeliever.wordpress.com/2007/09/25/the-myth-of-electability/

“Every time I hear someone say that he or she likes one candidate, but is going to vote for someone else because the “someone else” is “electable,” I want to scream. In a republic, people are electable if we vote for them. If enough people stop voting for one party or another because they’re told that no one else can win, and instead vote for candidates that we really want to win, then candidates of principle suddenly become electable.”

posting more about perlas is not going to do it. its just a lot more of the same – boring and nothing. i agree with that.

    • August 18, 2009 at 1:24 pm

Why did you say it was boring? Have you read it? Well for me I disagree… because a lot of other people are being inspired and am sure na when you get to know him you will be inspired too… unless you are a campaigner for another presidentiable in which naturally ang move is to play down opponents.

    • August 18, 2009 at 1:25 pm

Besides it is not about only the personality but what he has done which positively says that he can do what he intends to do and just not like other who give empty promises….

What needs to be done is how to make people find interest in Perlas. Honestly, when I first saw him talk, I was not impressed, but i was impressed with who he is when I made my research on him. Now to Nicky’s supporters , that is the challenge! How to make people interested in him. My process to campaign for him took some time, and it is so true that he is a boring subject then. Walang excitements ba? Ang hirap arukin, pang highly evolved individuals, eh iilan lang yung ganun sa Pinas, so kailangan Nicky talk the language of the masa so he can make himself understood and at a level of understanding of the people who can vote for him. Otto Schrmer listened to every word he said in his interview with Perlas. Because he makes sense and yes he can make Philippines better only if given the chance. so yung dating na hinahanap ni doorknob, importante yan na masolusyunan! Now if you can make him vote for Perlas, that is what you call tipping point! and that will make Perlas win! Palagay mo doorknob, kung ikaw ang image builder ni Perlas, how can you solve that “dating problem nya?
