Nicanor Perlas Gets Manuel L. Quezon Award for Exemplary Governance

Nicanor Perlas can indeed lead the country and has exemplary governance skills. This is further confirmed by 4th National Congress on Good Citizenship at De La Salle University (DLSU) in Manila where he was awarded the Manuel L. Quezon Award for Exemplary Governance. Perlas is the president of the Center for Alternative Development Initiatives were together with his peers he had made significant improvement in the lives of many people. Other awardees are John Gokongwei, Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim.

Here is the complete text of the award:

Manuel L. Quezon Award for Exemplary Governance is given to

NICANOR PERLAS, in recognition of his exemplary achievements as a Civil Society leader in the fields of Environmental Advocacy, Global Economic and Financial Management and Peace.

Given on 21 August 2009 at De La Salle University, Manila, during the Fourth National Congress of Federation of Catholic Schools’ Alumni Asociation (FECASAA) and Good Citizenship Movement (GCM)
