who will be the better president – noynoy aquino or manny villar? the 2010 Presidentiables Blog Face-Off #2, the poll leaders

we have face-off #1 among the laggards in the polls, villanueca vs.

manny villar

noynoy aquino

gordon, we are now opening this face-off between the leaders in the polls – noynoy aquino versus manny villar.

we will not include any write-up on these two leaders as they are already well-known and does not need any introduction from this blog. though we will not include an introduction, we encourage their supporters to post the information on these two candidates in the comments section.

just a few things on these two leaders:

noynoy aquino has been dominating the surveys done by practically all polling companies and even the two major companies SWS and Pulse Asia. aquino has stood his ground at being the dominant leader in the polls.

villar has also been a strong achiever in the polls. although he is at 2nd place and his ratings are almost one half of aquino, he has been consistently at the 2nd place spot also in all polls. not only that, villar;’s ratings has not dropped and even experienced growth despite the aquino onslaught.

we think villar is the only true contender among all the presidentiables. to put it another way — we think the 2010 election is for aquino to lose or for villar to win.

between the two leaders, who are you voting for in may 2010? tell us why.

Noynoy needed his sister as an assistant to make salad? also codigo during debate…needed codigo even though he had a good nap during the debate…sleeping, codigo, needing his sister to make a salad, 8 bills sponsored total and none passed…I don’t know about you but I see a very vivid pattern of incompetence (8 bills sponsored but none passed), being clueless/careless/mayabang (sleeping during a debate), codigo (does not have the mental ability to engage the mass in honest-direct unscripted, straight from the heart discussion), needing his sister to help with salad (no surprises here since he never accomplished anything on his own, with jobs handed to him on a silver plate and staying with his mom up to the age of 50). If anything, Noynoy should be fired for being a poor legislator. If the people want an untainted symbol, they should vote for a priest as the president. Otherwise, an experienced leader and proven manager will take us out of our hell hole. Someone who will Do the Right Things (be effective), and Do these Things Right (be efficient). Aside, being a proven Leader and Manager, Senator Manny Villar is a family-oriented and a God-fearing man. The rabied Trapos behind Noynoy are running his campaign and can’t wait to bully him if he does become the president (God forbid). He can’t even make a salad on his own for goodness sakes and you want him to run the country. With this logic, all the tamad na nasa bahay, ok lang yan na wagkayo magtrabaho o wala kayong ginagawa o hindi kayo kumikilos basta good boy lang kayo. All na husbands, you don’t have to accomplish anything in life, don’t support your family na lang, dyan na lang kayo sa silya at manood nang TV, wag lang kayo mag cheat…C’mon. Why are the Filipino people settling for less. They deserve more. Manny Villar is a good person. 17-18 years in politics and all they can throw at him are unsubstantiated lies. Alam nila na Manny does not entertain non-sense and political attacks. We call those bullies. Manny has 17-18 years in politics with over 1,000 sponsored bills and over 50 of those bills passing as law. What about Noynoy? How many years? How many sponsored? and none passed. Don’t settle for less and watch out for all the power-hungry vampires behind Noynoy.

      I agree with you…
another reason that i will not vote for Noynoy is that he doesn’t have his own family. How can he able to understand families if he doesn’t have his own. I’m not personally against him. He is a good man naman. I just can’t vote for a single man to lead the country when he is afraid to lead his very own family.

no question, noynoy is the man for 2010. this country has suffered too much, too long. we need someone who will finally change things for the better for the country.

NONE OF THEM! Remember yung “Harapan 2010 debate” that was held recently. Villar turns me off. He just lost my vote. Villar cancelled the last minute. He’s reason is “he has an important business meeting. Ano ba ang mas priority nya yung personal business meeting nya or becoming the president of the Philippines. He’s applying for a job sa mga tao to be the head of state tapos meron daw syang business meeting. This tell me kung ano ang priority nya not the country but yung business meeting nya! Huwag sanang mabulag ang mga tao sa kanya kahit na ginagamit nya si Wowowee to campaign for him.

the country needs most a man like aquino, not villar.

For those who remain clueless on why Senator Manny Villar may have skipped the Harapan 2010, understand that Ted Failon is pro NoyNoy and has his own political aspirations. One would be foolish to be in front of the whole country and allow himself to be ambushed by Failon so he can score pogi points. Read this article where it mentions – “Ted Failon has signified intentions of running for the Senate, and thus the news has subtle political colors to it. The fact that journalists turned politicos may raise eyebrows when it comes to ethics and professionalism.”

    http://donavictorina.blogspot.com/2009/04/cannibalism-of-grief.html

Villar is more of a man than Aquino will ever be. In order to be effective as president, you must (1) not owe anything to anybody [yes…Villar, unlike Noynoy, has no Trapos behind him to dictate instructions], (2) know how to navigate the House and the Senate [yes…Manny has experience as Speaker of the House and Senate President, (3) have expert negotiating skills [yes…just look at his senatorial slate of individuals from various sectors and even some that do not like each other but are now sitting on the same table], (4) be God-fearing [Manny is pro-life and is a known member of Couples for Christ], and (5) be experienced [self-made man, over 1,000 bills sponsored and over 50 bills passed]. Manny Villar is the most qualified Presidential Candidate our country has ever had. Our country needs someone of Villar’s qualification now more than ever. The last decade has gone to waste and we cannot afford another 6 years worth of kagagohan. With a platform that is pro-poor, takot ang mga Elitist kay Manny – remember those on TV asking you to donate one peso while they are wearing expensive jewelry….yeah those. Also, remember the Makati Business Club survey that is over 60% pro Noynoy…yeah those. They cannot afford to have a president that is pro-poor. Why – because they are thinking that a pro-poor president will cut into their business profits. The elites try to get rich the easy way, by increasing the gap between the Rich and the Poor and will do anything to keep it that way. With Sipag and Tiyaga and a president who is pro-poor, maglalapit din ang gap between the Rich and the Poor. Noynoy is but the sheep. WATCH OUT for the wolves behind his campaign. If Noynoy is elected, walang i-uunlad ang ating bayan. The gap between the poor and the Elite will foreseeably get bigger.

.. sabi nga ni brother eddie sa kanyang speech sa puerto princesa kamakailan, 2 klase ang corruption, wholesale at retail .. wholesale corruption happens in the office of the president and this amounts to 80% and retail which is 20% happens in the positions down below so that they could cope up with the expenses that their meager salaries could not meet .. 240 billion pesos are lost every year because of corruption (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5gskXtTzDI) ..

we always criticizing our political leaders, we always looked negative on them, kahit na kaliit-liitang pagkakamali we make it big. mostly we forget to see the positive thing they’ve made. were always blaming them.. why not blame ourselves first?..if naghirap man tayo, it’s because of us..why not just consider them, their interest to help us, their views, their leadership..cguro nga we will feel it if we become like them..”IF WE WEAR THEIR SHOES” kumbaga..im just saying this because i want everybody to have a bigger outlook on what had happen to us.. our nation…
but regarding the list of presidentiables i can consider that has leadership in mind and has a big plan to our country is only Manny Villar…

      March 10, 2010 at 9:47 pm

consider my comment in reply to coleen above and picture your manny villar in it .. can’t you see his all out desperation to become the president of our beloved country? .. even as a senator, he used his position to benefit his real estate business causing senate president juan ponce enrile to comment ‘“My goodness! He was the proponent of these projects. Second, he continued to fund this project. He was following up the funding of this project and he knew that he had lands that are going to be benefited by these projects. Why did he not disclose this to us?,” Enrile asked.’

whenever I see an ad of Villar I can’t help but say I will not vote for this man, Imagine the million pesos he is spending for that, and its so many that it flooded the airwaves and he is known to be a very good businessman. What have we learned in our business classes, that when ever you invest you should expect your Return of Investment. Where do you think he will get his ROI. Furthermore, he is so obsessed in becoming President of the Philippines, NAKAKATAKOT ANG OBSESSION NIYA.

I go for Villar. He has a hands-on experience in Leadership and Management. He will not undergo OJT in running the country. He will not be at the mercy of the advisers and the relatives.

If you have time, please published a comparative table of concrete performance of Noynoy and Villar when they were both members of the House of Representative, and when they were both members of the Senate. This will help the Filipino voters in making their decision.

I do not trust a businessman in Politics. He will definitely make it a point to make a profit from his investments. Villar is lying thru his teeth when he says he will not try to recover his billions of peso investment in this presidential race for 2010. If he does not do this either he is plain tanga or a bad businessman. I will go for NOYNOY for his CLEAN record of no corruption and intends to eradicate this when he gets into office.Truly CORRUPTION is really the culprit in all our hardships. Imagine the Billion and Billion of pesos going to selected individuals in government instead of to the PEOPLE by means of services, schools, medicines and more.If and when he wins he has to maintain the GOOD image of his parents (Ninoy and Cory)or else their ghost will haunt him forever for the rest of his life.So no ifs or buts let us give NOYNOY the vote he needs to win in May 10, 2010.

  26. April 16, 2010 at 9:28 pm

whatever!…politics are politics…we,as one of the pilipino people doesn’t really know these politics, thats because they only post good things about themselves, and, only their enemies post bad things about them…and in actuality,no one with a desire of great position would say bad things about themselves…so i go for noynoy…we know that he’s not corrupt…that’s why!
