teodoro, gordon and villanueva supporters – don’t waste your vote, vote for any of the 2 front runners

on request, we are posting here this article written by sweet.twins in one of the pinoy bulletin boards.

~antenna1

for the teodoro, villanueva, gordon, madrigal, de los reyes and perlas supporters – do not waste your vote by voting for the candidate you support, vote instead any of the two front runners who you think is better for the country – villar or aquino.

by this time the fact is these presidentiables – teodoro, villanueva, gordon, madrigal, de los reyes and perlas do not have a chance to win the election. if you vote for any of them, villar or aquino will win without you having a say on who will be president.

why waste your vote? your vote can make a difference between villar and aquino. it will probably be a very close election for both of them. since it will be close, a single vote will matter a lot.

you have a chance to elect the president of the country, use it to elect who between aquino and villar you think is best for the country.

based on the latest polls, aquino will get 18 million votes, villar 17 million, teodoro 3 million, villanueva 1.5 million and gordon 1 million votes.

only 1 million will separate villar and aquino. let’s assume just 1/3 of teodoro supporters abandon teodoro and vote for either villar or aquino, then these teodoro supporters would have elected the president.

its possible the gap between villar and aquino will be smaller and that means supporters of teodoro can really make a difference.

on the other hand 1 more vote for teodoro, or this time 3,000,001 votes will NOT make teodoro win.

assuming 50 million voters, this is how the latest SWS poll might translate to votes:
  • aquino 18 million
  • villar 17 million
  • estrada 7.5 million
  • teodoro 3 million
  • villanueva 1.5 million
  • gordon 1 million
even if all the supporters of estrada, teodoro, villanueva and gordon vote for any of them, that will only be 5.5 million votes, that is NOT going to make any of them win. however, if these 5.5 million or even 1/3 of them vote for either villar or aquino, they choose the winner!
all the presidentiables, both the front runner AND laggards groups are talking about the same thing – the economy. jobs. education, poverty alleviation and health care. both are talking about fixing these in our country.

we know the laggards groups will not win this election. make your vote count by selecting one of the two front runners who you think will be able to deliver better on the economy, jobs, education, poverty alleviation and health care.

you may want the country’s economy, jobs, education, poverty alleviation and health care to improve but voting a presidentiable who obviously will not win will not do that. so elect one of the front runners who you think can do vest in fixing those.

the laggards groups are not talking of anything different. in fact the laggards group even have a very strong disadvantage of not having a a large political party to back them up. even teodoro’s political party is now being reduced to nothing. it will be much more difficult to be effective if a presidentiable without a strong political party is elected. basing it on this one, the real choice is really down to aquino or villar, the front runners.

that is how few these voters are and how futile their votes will be if they continue to vote for these candidates.

I am sure if people would still vote for NOYNOY due to his mental disorder. Here is another link from Philstar that came from family’s circle of friends in Boston where the Aquino family are living during exiled. Early 80s.

personally it is a very sorry and sad state that filipinos ote for candidates who they feel will win and not because who they think fit and able for the position.

TRAPO! vote not because of the popularity of their parents. Vote for the right one FILIPINO and that is GIBO!

  15. April 26, 2010 at 10:51 pm

Is it any wonder why this nation is not moving forward. It’s people like you(sweet.twins) are too apathetic and too naive for real and substantive change. My vote for Perlas is not a wasted vote. It’s a vote that counts. It’s a way saying enough for traditional politics and we must place bets for new politics that Nick Perlas is advocating.

What is really a wasted vote?

If we vote for politicians who uses sheer popularity minus the platforms and track record to get my vote, that’s a wasted vote.

In response to the last paragraph which you said that:

“…the laggards groups are not talking of anything different. in fact the laggards group even have a very strong disadvantage of not having a a large political party to back them up. even teodoro’s political party is now being reduced to nothing. it will be much more difficult to be effective if a presidentiable without a strong political party is elected. basing it on this one, the real choice is really down to aquino or villar, the front runners.”

It seems that you are not doing your homework. Nick Perlas’ platform differ from other presidentiables’ platform because it introduces a new form of governance that involves civil society and business, along with the government. My question to you is that do Villar and Aquino have this kind of idea? I guess they don’t. One thing also. Nick Perlas’ platform is a living document because it is based on his experience as an enviromentalist, agriculturist, and a member of civil society.

Don’t limit the voters from who are they want to choose. We want a real and substantial change. We must not be contented by our state. We need to get over it and let this nation move forward.

    • sweet.twins
      April 27, 2010 at 1:37 pm

perlas is hardly known by any of the voters. his message is also like an alien language to almost all of the voters. he has no chance to win this election. voting for wim will not get him to win the election, there are just too few of you who will vote for him.

use your vote wisely, vote for one of the front runners.

      • April 27, 2010 at 4:02 pm

is it alien language to you or just simply you don’t understand by heart what he is trying to say? If that was an alien language, maybe he can’t get my vote. But Nick’s message of New Politics is the same as mine. New Politics must be installed with a new vision and new ideas, not by the same traditional ideas as some presidentiables possesses.

Nick’s New Politics is a real and substantive one, far different from other candidates.

Finally, is that your definition of vote wisely ? Limiting us of whom we want to vote. Napakababaw ata ng definition mo.

        • sweet.twins
          April 27, 2010 at 6:12 pm

perlas is sounding and acting like a nuisance candidate. he has no chance to win this election. don’t waste your vote on perlas, choose one of the two front runners.

          • April 27, 2010 at 9:31 pm

If Perlas was a nuisance candidate, then why did COMELEC allowed him to run for the highest position? It is because COMELEC on its resolution last January which acknowledges Perlas’ qualifications and achievements and the petition signed by more than 2000 Filipinos and foreigners.

If he is a nuisance candidate, then why are we getting support from artists like Joey Ayala, Cynthia Alexander, writer Ricky Lee, and even film director Joyce Bernal?

If he is a nuisance candidate ? Then why Nick is still active in debates and forums ? What about Aquino and Villar ? They are popular yet lazy to attend forums and debates which very vital because Filipino voter are more intelligent than before.

I don’t agree with what atenna said. I guess you don’t have the right to tell whoever has the chance to win.. All of them has it until the very day of election. Every vote counts, and saying that the vote should only be for noynoy and villar is completely crazy. If I voted none of them it still makes change, how much more if there were another hundreds, thousands and million who’s not going to vote for them? We are free to select the candidate we think that fits best to the position. Everyone is.It’s not noynoy and villar, it’s us. Pray, think and vote. On May 2010 Elections, another big event in the country’s history, a life changing decision for all of us. Who are we going to vote? We are always ruled by bid people, on the business industry the small ones are eaten by the big ones, they got no choice.

  18. April 27, 2010 at 10:14 am

I don’t think this is the way to go in Philippine politics. People should vote for their best choice for president regardless of what the survey says. An honest vote, done with everything about the candidate objectively weighed and carefully considered, IS NEVER A WASTED VOTE. The suggestion to vote only for either the leading two is simply moronic.

Let’s just vote for whoever we think should carry the Philippines out from the pig sty it is in (sorry, pigs). And whoever wins, let us give him (or her) our full moral, vigilant, support.

  19. Estipona ng Davao
    April 27, 2010 at 10:37 am

The qualifications of a president we need is integrity ,righteousness and purity pd the candidates not the survey.

  20. April 27, 2010 at 11:44 am

I pity those who would follow this kind of advice from sweet.twins. You don’t have to limit yourself to two candidates. Vote for the candidate who you think is best to lead this country at this time. Believing in this surveys would only benefit those who pay for these surveys to set the trend for the voters. This is mainly their objectives as to give voters a mindset that would make them think that they would be wasting their votes if they don’t vote for the leading candidates.

Sweet.Twins, Filipinos like you disgusts me. You are one of the reasons why Philippines will never be able to stand and be a successful country someday.

what is the point of continuing to support a candidate who is sure to lose? nothing. it will only be wasting your vote. choose one of the front runners and make a difference in this election.

      • April 27, 2010 at 5:07 pm

Surveys alone is not an accurate basis for anyone of us to be sure if our candidates would lose.

Wasting your vote would be voting someone who is leading the surveys because you are candidate is losing the surveys.

Like I said, this way of thinking is how losers think. You don’t have integrity and would commonly called “Balimbing” since you always chose the winning side.

        • April 27, 2010 at 5:26 pm

aside from the election itself, surveys is the next best thing to know who will win the election.

the poll results are pretty clear, there are very sharp peaks and very deep valleys. the front runners are just too much way ahead of the laggards.

make your vote count – drop your support on the sure winners and just choose between the two front runners.

sweet.twins is antenna, sargo, ernestina from Pinoy Exchange. They’re blog authors here. They are threatened by the track records of other candidates that’s why they cover it up with alleged survey results that are rigged.

    And more damning evidence:

His running mate Bayani Fernando expressed support for Gordon’s suit against pollsters.

In a phone call to the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Fernando said he no longer believed in surveys. He said his percentage of votes stopped increasing after he stopped subscribing to the survey results.

Fernando said: “The moment I stopped paying for the surveys, my ranking no longer improved. Before, when I was still subscribing, my points were increasing.”

No pay, no rate? My, there goes the survey trustworthiness!

We are always ruled by bid people, on the business industry the small ones are eaten by the big ones, they got no choice.

please don’t get confused, antenna1 who is an author in this blog just posted what i had written previously and posted in another site.

we don’t know who will win this election until after the election is true only for the 2 front runners. the polls say this is possibly a close election between the two of them.

but that is not the case for the rest. the laggards group has no chance of winning this election. continuing to support them and voting them is only wasting your vote.

Natatawa talaga ako sa mga Noynoy supporters.. I wouldn’t waste my vote on either of the top two in the survey.. Noynoy is only banking on his family name and the death of his mother.. He cannot even stand on his own laurels and that is the truth..

Noynoy can’t even make a decent comment on the Hacienda Luisita issue.. No matter how many times he denies it, parte na yun ng history ng pamilya Cojuangco-Aquino..

Noynoy lost his integrity the moment he announced his candidacy jst a few weeks after Cory’s death.. And check the stockholders of SWS and Pulse Asia.. You’d be surprised.. hahahaha

We screen our candidates well basing on platforms and reality-based plans for the country..

And if you want me to vote for either of the so-called “top two” contenders then I would be choosing between the lesser of two evils..

lesser of two evils is a choice you can make. if you giveyour vote to one of the 2 front runners using it, that means you are directly helping choose the next president. it will be a close election between the two, every vote will count. but voting for one of the laggards will be wasting your vote.

the front runners have a potential vote of 17M to 18M. the best among the laggards, teodoro has 3M votes. gordon is at the pits with at the most 2M votes.

it is NOT at all realistic to expect teodoro to increase his votes at least 5 to 6 times in a few days time. worst for godon, he simply cannot increase his potential votes by 9 to 10 times with a few days to go.

I can’t express how frustrated I am reading articles from someone like you. Advertising is a tool to be recognized, it is not what people are voting for. This is our country for Christ’s sake! Iboto nyo kasi karapatdapat sya mamuno. Kung hindi nyo kilala ang kandidato.. find time to research on the candidates.

We should be more responsible to educate our fellow Filipinos to vote “Wisely”.. not vote SAFELY”.

    [might be off topic]
What the hell are they going to do in the Senate?! Isn’t their first term enough to prove that they are impotent legislators?! Walang alam yan mga yan.. But Survey says they have a good chance of winning.. so are you voting for them as well?

You may say this a different story kasi very significant ang lamang ng top 3 contenders ng Presidentiables. But these are the same principles… Why Vote for Adel Tamano and Toots Ople eh talo na sila.. might as well give my vote to Bong Revilla and Jinggoy Estrada since leading naman sila?!

SURVEYS are easily manipulated, and I don’t understand why people rely on surveys to come up with a decision when casting their vote. 2000-5000 voters is a small percentage to use a basis for a population of 90M. in reality, surveys are really difficult to manipulate. these surveys are conducted over a period of time and there are previous results that you need to contend with. any big jumps from previous will make the results suspicious.

also there are at least 2 other firms who do political survyes, the result of one need to be very close to the other. results that are too different will make the manipulation too obvious.

don’t get ruled by these polls.

you’re saying that we must only chose between the leading presidentiables because SWS statistically says that the “other” candidates don’t stand a chance of winning the elections.

CBCP just revealed their own poll results. their survey ,however, is way different from that of the SWS. JC delos reyes is the one leading followed by Eddie Villanueva. while villar and the ‘other’ are way behind them. would you give your vote to JC and Eddie just because they are the ones leading in this particular survey?

If i am to get along with your “intelligent” way of thinking, then i would probably vote for JC. Right??? LOL.

    sweet.twins :
CBCP is hardly the group to trust for surveys. stick with SWS and Pulse Asia. the results are pretty clear on who might win and clearer on who will lose. drop your support on the losers, and select one of the possible winners. make use of your vote.

the 1998 surveys conducted by SWS and PulseAsia dictated that ERAP would not win. But oh,ERAP actually won.

i don’t think you have the facts here. but i can’t recall what were the specifics on it.

the election now is veryu different from before. the laggards groups are so far down in the polls that it is really impossible to win. but it can be a close election now between aquino and villar. so drop the laggards and vote for one of the 2 front runners. voting for one of the 2 front runners also prevents an erap win.

Noynoy and Villar are not exempt from that rule. And neither is the surveys.

SA MGA AYAW KAY BRO. EDDIE…

EDDIE?
…sarili nyo na ang makakasagot nyan
    GOD BLESS THE PHILIPPINES!!!

totoo, ang mga surveys are just to conditions the mind of the people but not actually the will of the people. kc maraming tao rin ang nagsasabing gusto nilang bomoto kay bro. eddie pero dahil sa survey iba na lang ang iboboto nila, which is absolutely wrong… every vote must be counted for bro. eddie. SO LET’S GO AND VOTE FOR BRO. EDDDIE VILLANUEVA FOR PRESIDENT COME MAY 10, 2010 ELECTIONS.

surveys tell us what the people are thinking. you have the option to believe or not to believe them. and the results are saying the laggards group do not have a chance to win in this election, not with those huge margins. since they will lose for sure, choose one of the two who has a chance to win.

Ganyan din ang scientific survey- the random few represents the many.

    May 3, 2010 at 1:11 pm

hahahaha…pls don’t compare the testing of coliform bacteria in boracay and the wise decision of the voters to vote. they are too far different, the behavioral activity of the coliform bacteria are just the same in a certain habitat but can you read the heart and mind of the people?(THEY CHANGE EVERY MINUTE).

eveybody can do something for our country, but that doesn’t mean they are good presidents. but if you are telling us to choose between the 2 front runners, you’re such a big jokes. it’s because we are just wasting our votes to the pigs. the reasons why Philippines were left behind from other countries because of the mindset of the people like you. there are many brilliant politicians who are good in governance AND experienced, yet they let somebody who is more popular (because here in the philippines nowadays if you’re not popular, you can’t win and our elections is always a POPULARITY CONTEST) than them to run as president.

Remember tita cory( a plain housewife), when ninoy was assassinated, did the brilliant politicians at that time attempted to run against marcos? but they let the widow of ninoy run instead, it’s because the brilliant guys knows that most filipinos are very sympathetic, very emotional( and emotionally unstable). kaya ang nangyari, kaliwa’t kanan na kudeta ang narasan ni tita cory(kawawa naman).Too far different from ate glo, kaya lang nasobrahan sa pangungurakot. History repeats itself. DI BA KAMAMATAY LANG NI TITA CORY, and ONCE AGAIN FILIPINOS WERE EMOTIONALLY HIGH(parang adik)kaya ayon, sumigaw agad sila(WE WANT NOY TO BECOME OUR PRESIDENT) He wILL be just elected tru sympathy and emotional outbreak, and not because FILIPINOS ARE MATURED ENOUGH AND WISE VOTERS to proved noynoy’s COMPETENCE, GOOD GOVERNACE AND STRONG LEADERSHIP…GANYAN BA SA PINAS PABALIK-BALIK NA LANG. KAYA NGA PARA MAPUTOL ANG BISYONG ITO(popularity votes) MERON tayong alternatibo…

IBINOTO KO SI TITA CORY NOONG 1986 ELECTIONS (i was 20 y/o at that time), ibinoto ko si RAMOS sa 1992 ELECTIONS, IBINOTO KO SI ESTRADA SA 1998 AT IBINOTO KO SI ATE GLO SA 2004, EH ANONG NANGYARI SA ATING BANSA?

DID WE REALLY USE OUR MIND, INTELLECT AND WILL TO CHOOSE OUR PRESIDENT OR WE ARE JUST SWAYED BY OUR ON AND OFF EMOTIONS?

Gumising ka!!! a right vote is never wasted and the right vote is bro.Eddie who represents the will of God that is rigtheous governance. a good ex. is found in the Bible (the manual of life): the Israelites at the door of the promised land sent 12 spies, 10 of them voted not to go in and only two trusted God. what happened is that they were not able to enter their rest coz of unbelief; the Lord judged the 10 and killed them and all the people who are afraid to enter the land went back to the desert and died in the wilderness as a punisment.

Bro. Eddie can’t run the country… Talk talk talk… You can’t run the country with only your wisdom. We can’t face all problems by prayers. The only acceptable win is between Gibo and Dick. Noy2x has brain damage and Villar has a lot of debt. If Gibo and Dick didn’t win, Filipinos are fools.
