I am very glad that I’m gonna be the first to post comments.
I just want to share from my blog why Nicanor Perlas is the alternative choice for the nation. I cited 10 and here they are.\
On my previous post, I cited my reasons why I chose Mr. Nicanor Perlas based on his track record and platform. Today is a blogswarming day as a part of our on-line protest against COMELEC’s disqualification of Mr. Perlas. I also ask you to do the same if you are also supporting him and his quest for new politics. It’s our time to raise our voice and let it heard across COMELEC.
10 REASONS WHY “THE REAL MR. GREEN” (NICANOR PERLAS) SHOULD BE ON THE PRESIDENTIAL LIST:
1) Mr. Perlas fought against corruption even without seeking public office. He fought the massive fraud and bribery surrounding the purchase of the BNPP, exposed the corruption at the Department of Agriculture which halted the use of 32 pesticide formulations. He even helped oust Fmr. Pres. Joseph Estrada at EDSA 2.
2)Mr. Perlas believes in participatory governance. He believes that the powers of democracy never just resides on those who are elected and the elite, but also to the subjects.
3)Mr. Perlas introduced sustainable farming. He helped thousands of farmers change their farming methods from the use of deadly pesticides.
4)Mr. Perlas is not a TRAPO. He never believes in personality-based politics(in which the COMELEC promotes) but believes in a politics based on strong track record and a systemic platform. He taught us that winnability should not be based on political machinery, name-recalling, celebrity endorsements, and money.
5)Mr. Perlas believes in multiple intelligence. A good politician should focus on just one issue. An issue can affect different aspects of the society like political, environmental, social, spiritual, cultural, and economic. Mr. Perlas’ exceptional skills, talent and experience are enough to solve national issues ranging from environment to anti-corruption;from participatory governance to fair trade.
6)Mr. Perlas gained respect here and around the world. He became a keynote speaker on over 200 national and global conferences. Winner of various awards here and abroad.
7)Mr. Perlas believes in sustainable development. He convinced Fmr. President Fidel Ramos to include sustainable development as an appropriate paradigm for APEC(Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) and he succeeded. It was included at the APEC Leader’s Declaration in the 1996 summit in Manila. He is the technical writer of Philippine Agenda 21(PA21), the highest government framework under the RAMOS administration. It was cited by UN as one of the promising examples of innovative approaches to sustainable development.
8)Mr. Perlas believes a nuclear-free Philippines and safer energy resources. He also not exposed the corruption at BNPP, he also save millions from the danger of nuclear power that crushed Chernobyl.
9)Mr. Perlas understands the poor more clearly than any politicians. He was with the UNICEF and Plan International in helping solving poverty. He also helped them through microfinancing.
10)Mr. Perlas believes that the power change is within us. He never take his mission alone. He believes that the power to change also resides on us. Just only believe on yourself. You have the power in your hands.

Think this guys ideas are Great…..if he were to run for senate he would’ve had my vote!..
I do think we have good laws in the Senate. The problem is that the implementation of these laws and we need a leader with a political will like Nick Perlas to implement these laws. And because of his exemplary track record, I think the best position to practice his experience is to be the president of this nation.
I admire Mr. Perlas, honest at responsible, but surely he will not win this race. So he must act to save this country from opportunist and incompetent leaders by withdrawing from the race and give his support to GIBO, the most likely winnable and most competent presidential candidate.
List of Good Leaders to be voted unconditnally;
President = Gibo Teodoro
Vice President – Fernando Bayani
Senators:
1. Bello 2. Lambino 3. Pia Cayetano 4. Emelio Osmeña
5. Meriam Defensor 6. Plaza 7. Langit 8. Marcos
9. Revilla 10. Sotto
Please VOTE FOR A FISCALIZER NOT Opposition.
Forgive to disagree.
Mr. Nick Perlas will never back out of this race.Perlas has most exemplary track record and a solid and substantive platform.
KAYA GIBO TAYO.
TO NOYNOY: Please ansswer the following questions;
1. Why you remain single until now inspite of your old age?
2. With due respect to your mother, What significant economic contribution she has
achieved?
3. Why did you hide to people that you had been a drug user?
4. If truly you are pro poor, bakit hindi mo natulungan ang mga hacienda luisita workers na nanatiling mahirap mula pa noong hindi ka pa isininlang hanggang ngayon?

naging President of Executive sa Hacienda Luisita Plantation?
9. Bakit hindi ka nag file ng formal suit against the alleged killers of your
father after Marcos regime?
12. Payag ka ba sa Chartered Change in your time?
13. What are your specific strategy to help the poorest of the poor, homeless and

16. Tell honestly, are you really determined to be become a better president
than RAmos and Arroyo?
17. Now that left leaning(Communist) Satur, Maza, and Baraquel is running for
senate, God forbids, how will you eradicate New Peoples Army?
i think he’s sincere for running as a president though he ain’t got the winning ability. this is my comments on other presidentiables.
4. NOYNOY – brad! achievement yata ni mama cory yang ipinagyayabang mo! anu ba ang naipatupad mong batas?
5. VILLAR – nakaligo ka ba sa dagat ng basura? your a lucky man marrying a wealthy woman!
6. EDDIE – oh god forgive his soul! kala ko v fresh ni gloc-9 yung commercial mo.
Preference on names when he clearly has credentials isn’t an intelligent judgment.
With regards to the winnability, we don’t mind the money and the political machinery for now. It resulted to a major national and global on-line campaign to reinstate Perlas and by January 14, nagtagumpay kami ! Perlas is now endorsed by several artists from music scene, namely Joey Ayala and Cynthia Alexander. Adding also to the list are novelist Ricky Lee and fashion designer Hindy Weber-Tantoco. Perlas is also backed by several environmental groups like Partido Kalikasan and Center for Livelihood Environment and Advocacy Network(CLEAN), a local NGO based in Dipolog City.
winnability is really one big factor against mr. perlas ..
i really want Nicanor Perlas to win. with all the debates i watched. he really amazed me, and i know he can really create a difference in our country. but yeah i dont think he stands a chance against other candidates. so, my vote goes to Gordon. *sigh
that’s what you call the “winnability” virus. Voting somebody (based on popularity) to win even of the awareness of somebody better than him. If we follow that winnability virus, it will come out that the person who’ll win is the most popular but with less qualification will win.
Your one vote can help nick win. Your one vote can help him stand a chance. Your one vote can make a difference.
I really want- no need to win him too. The Philippines need somebody like him.
http://www.nicanor-perlas.com
i like this guy even he doesn’t have a chance to win. i had enough of the same people who takes pity of themselves, begging to vote them and for the people who thinks their the smartest of all.
still, it’s your decision to vote the presidential candidate you desire and don’t ever regret it in the end. so make sure you really like to vote that candidate.
Sir, dami mo pa lng nagawa..
ngayon ko lng yon nalaman..
yan ang tunay na tumutulong..
u’r d man sir!
Tama !!!
I went to two presidential forums and I witnessed Mr. Perlas’ in-depth examination of the pressing political, economic, social and most importantly, environmental issues in the Philippines. His responses were very articulate and unruffled. I think he has the potential to be a brilliant leader of the nation. It was just tragic that the public can’t see beyond the colors and the packaging of their candidates and end up liking those who were just merely popular but not as honest, sincere, intelligent and brave as this man. Kudos to you Mr. Perlas!
Geeeezzz…. Most people are always get fooled by some famous politicians who always show their faces in tarps, television, and even in relief goods. That’s disgusting. Every politician must be sincere and responsible on every aspects since they are serving the public. Why they need to put up their names in public structures, vehicles and make a large billboard with their faces including their family or other members of the government just to greet everybody a Happy Fiesta or Merry Christmas? You think it is right for a certain politician to do those things just because they are the elected ones?
Just a reminder, vote for the right person. Even famous or not famous, analyze their achievements first before criticizing them. It doesn’t mean that they are not well known by the public, they are nuisance already. Give them also a chance to prove themselves in the public.

Win or lose, I will surely vote for Mr. Perlas. He deserves my vote. I see his sincerity to serve the public. I hope the people would realize that even the unpopular ones had potential to improve the declining economy of the country.

PERLAS TAYONG LAHAT!
nicanor perlas would be my president because…… he is an environmentalist. strong will na mag serve sa atin… and i strongly believe na makakaya nyang lutasin ang mga problems and issues regarding sa ating environment…
honestly sa aming office dalawa lng kami out of 11 ang mag-vote sa kanya… but then maninindigan ako”i will vote to someone that will help our country and not to someone i can sure na mananalo” prang ang naging purpose lng ng lahat is to vote dahil alam nilang mananalo ang taong ito ad no because prehas cla ng paniniwala….
i hope na sana kahit hindi sya manalo, he will continue his advocates..especially yung mga proects nya pra sa ating kalikasan… if he will have an environmental projects here in davao sasama tlga ako..!!!
another vote to cast… NICANOR PERLAS for president… count me in!!!
It’s just sad that this page does not have a thin scroll button as the other presidentiable pages do. Though, this page has the least haters I’ve seen. I would consider Nick Perlas, but the problem is I don’t believe he is ready to take the hate, and the dirt of public governance. I am not sure if he has the strongest will to impose himself when he’s president. Yes, you can trust him.. but you can never trust the people around him.. So, can you trust that he does not get eaten by the system? ‘Cause if he does, he might end up being corrupt or being ejected from position if he resists.
That’s not true. Nick Perlas has never been eaten up by the system for the past 30 years and will never be if he is going to be our president. There will be competence in the governement because Nick will replace incompetent secretaries with people with integrity, knowledge, and competence. Nick Perlas is ready to clean up the mess our trapos have made for years.
Yan si Nick, he is ready to take risks so that our country will have its rebirth.
I’ve come across a lot of people saying they subscribe to the advocacy of Perlas, but were sure he’s not going to win the race. What if, a million people also think they way they do? That means 1 million votes sliding from Perlas’ chances, a million worth of hope sliding from our chance to bring positive change to this nation. Remember, a presidentiable can actually win with only 10 million votes. I’m still quite hopeful that Perlas will win. He’s not that popular, but I think, there is still time for people to realize how brilliant this man is.
