reconcile eddie villanueva’s election loss and the failed prophecy of a win

this blog has been very lucky to get a lot of bro. eddie’s supporters. we appreciate their very active and very intense participation in the discussion in this blog. we have seen aspects of their beliefs and their religion in ways that were new to us and the learnings well received.

the discussions are very high in volume and the debates even more intense and we have followed them to some degree. we now like to put things in perspective, to get it to reach into it’s natural conclusion.

we like to ask bro.eddie’s supporters and others to put the discussion to a close with this thread. we are asking everyone to give your reactions and thoughts.

to start off, we like to pose some lead points or questions.  this is an initial list, we will be adding as we go along.

  • what does it mean now that bro. eddie will lose this election
  • there was a prophecy made that bro. eddie will be president and this was supposed to happen now
  • does the prophecy still hold now that we know the results of this election
  • why did the prophecy did not fulfill itself?
  • what does the failure of bro. eddie’s bid to win do to your faith?
  • to your religion?
  • how do you feel about this?

here is  a reaction from sean:

WHEN PROPHECY FAILS AND FAITH PERSIST
(by Lorne L. Dawson of Department of Sociology University of Waterloo)

I cant help but to “use” this same title to describe what happened; as the result of this historic election continue to shed its lights of reality.
It seems that the reality was “set-in” against the irrational faith-based, wishful thinking, unscientific, boastful, (even a “mythical” treat of sending people to hell!!! because of not supporting ECV) by the supporters of ECV.

If any one will have an interest to read the study conducted by the sociologist i have mentioned above…he/she will understand how the “same acts and response” A CERTAIN GROUP or cult will do if a prophecy FAILED. (I AM QUITE sure that the “apologetic response will be the SAME” just as describe by the numerous studies conducted by sociologist and psychologist on the religious groups studied on the title above)

Its a good thing to study RELIGION’S historicity and avoid its poisonous stings..

to end my message..

“The fact that a believer is happier than a sceptic is no more to the point than the fact that a drunken man is happier than a sober one. The happiness of credulity is a cheap and dangerous quality”. – George Bernard Shaw

and

“Religion is regarded by the COMMON people as true, by the WISE as false, and by the rulers as useful”. – Seneca the Younger ( It is quite applicable in the Philippines!!)

TEMET NOSCE!!!

from a small voice of mine against the vast religious ocean of my beloved country…

Thank you Mr.wawam

    # what does it mean now that bro. eddie will lose this election?
We were given choices in this election. And to the people who are convicted that there is God, it is Him who set these choices and its our free will that bring us to what we choose. NOw the result of this election reflects whose power controlling the hearts of the people. We are called the “Only Christian Nation in Asia” but i would say “Fake Christian nation in Asia” instead – “Idolatrous nation in Asia” because the Filipino people equate the Saviour into their idols, which is blasphemy and enmity unto God. God definitely not the “black nazarene”, or the “lady of manaoag” nor the “lady of fatima” and many more. Therefore, My beloved Filipino brothers who claimed, convinced and believe that there is indeed a God, please search your hearts that you may worship and believe the True and Living God (the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob). It doesnt matter who will be the president – for whoever he is, indeed he is a servant of God and we are bound to be subject unto his government (even God acknowledged King Nebuchadnezzar as His servant who brought judgement unto the house of Israel – Jeremiah 25:8-9)- What really matters is your soul. And to my fellow Filipino who declares there is no God, Psalm 14:1 touches you.

This exchange of opinion is exactly why there is a separation between Church and State. It’s like oil and water, fire and rain, etc.

there will always be one who disagrees with another, there can’t be unity between, and among, religious or political thought and belief. Religion is spiritual. Politics is social. There will always be left or right, black or white.

One cannot impose his/her views on another. There is one historical constant, many have tried, but ultimately failed.

i do not regret having supported BROTHER EDDIE for that is what my conviction tells me to .. i have never said that BROTHER EDDIE is sure to win but my desire is for our country to have a leader with the battle cry of “righteous governance” plus the truth that i know the character of the man .. cj’s prophecy has been misinterpreted as having a timeline but blogger timpaul himself apologized after reviewing the video that indeed the prophecy did not have one .. I stand by the character of the man that if he runs again for the same post after six years and having the same character that he has right now, i will again support him and that is, of course, if there is no other candidate of the same caliber or better ..

i will advice ECV, GO and run again for any elective position with YOUR INTEGRITY, CHARACTER AND VISION OF GOOD GOVERNANCE alone. pls do away with any prophecy

i will go with you for the third time. HOWEVER, if you will not allow to be tainted again with this dirty politics,(ONLY IN THE PHILIPPINES) stay where God has called I’m pretty sure that’s the best for you.

whoever is the president (whether normal or abnormal, because corruption here in the philippines is just as normal as breathing)
Even the Philippines will go beyond and become the first country ever that belongs to the “TENTH WORLD” because of massive corruption…(with respect to the third world countries).

i have now just come to realize that cj and the people listening to her during that gathering where she pronounced the will of God for BROTHER EDDIE to be the president of the philippines is just a pronouncement or a declaration and not to be considered a prophecy, which should happen if it is a true prophecy .. and misinterpreted as such, spread like wildfire among the supporters of BROTHER EDDIE .. it is just like in the will, want or desire of God for all men not to perish but have everlasting life .. the decision is bilateral .. for the will of God for a man to be saved to happen, man has to do his part .. he has to respond to the call to be saved, or to be born again or, in a simpler term that can be understood easily by many, to be a CHRISTIAN .. in the same manner, it is God’s desire, want or will for a man like BROTHER EDDIE to be the president of the philippines for the obvious reason that God’s desire, want or will is for a president who is God-fearing so that the people will truly benefit .. but majority of the citizenry did not agree ..

zech 14 – 9 The LORD will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one LORD, and his name the only name. 10 The whole land, from Geba to Rimmon, south of Jerusalem, will become like the Arabah. But Jerusalem will be raised up and remain in its place, from the Benjamin Gate to the site of the First Gate, to the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the royal winepresses. 11 It will be inhabited; never again will it be destroyed. Jerusalem will be secure.

ii peter 3 – 10But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare.

jonah 3 – 4 On the first day, Jonah started into the city. He proclaimed: “Forty more days and Nineveh will be overturned.”

          genesis 3 – 15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers;
he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”

cj – “brother eddie, god showed me it’s his will for you to be the president of the philippines…”

“The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good”. Psalm 14:1

….it seems by reading this passage, it tells that UNBELIEF was already existed in this remote past..and history tells the stories of the fate of this unbelievers in the hands of so called religious people “the faithfuls”

even early Christians was called atheists because of disbelieve on Zeus, Apollo, Poseidon and the other gods of mythology. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, “you will understand why I DISMISS YOURS…”

…I distrust those people who know so well what God wants them to do because I notice it always coincides with their own desires.

since the passage above was quoted from the old testament, i have this notion after reading the so called history of the Israelite (from old testament, imagine dashing an infant against the stone of the enemy as commanded by god!)

Hosea 13:16 kjv “Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be DASHED in pieces, and their women with child (pregnant) shall be RIPPED up”. (this is only one of the many passage at OT that promotes genocidal act when not believing in the god of israel)

    and so for me

…That The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all FICTION: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully.

    and then

Religion is man-made. Even the men who made it cannot agree on what their prophets or redeemers or gurus actually said or did. (this is one of the reason why evangelicals didn’t agree with each other in their doctrines and dogmas, the so called “Body of Christ” was dashed (smashed) in the stone by his own followers)

Mr.Sean; You missed the point.Read the bible carefully from end to end.In Hosea,Samaria became slave and a plunder of Assyria for they willfully disobey God and His Laws. When the ten tribes disowned God and do what God forbids. They willfully sacrifice their children to god of ammonites by burning their children alive, which God forbids. They abort their childrens. They commit sexual immorality such as homosexuality , lesbianism, adultery, concubinage and do evil in the sight of God despite repeated warnings from God in the persons of Elijah,Jeremiah,Isaiah,Obadiah,Habbakkuk,Hosea and Ezekiel.Willfully in their full knowledge ,the ten tribes forsake God.When they forsake God,the protective wall of God was removed(as a reference read Job chapter 1),all the evil spirits who controlled the Assyrians came and destroyed them.In Jeremiah chapter 6-8,God cries and in pain when these things happened.Remember the deeds of Satan as written in John 10:10 “the theif comes to steal, kill and destroy.
And one of the deed of Satan right now is to deceived you and make you believe that God is evil which is not true but a lie. Please read carefully and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you and give wisdom, knowledge and understanding.God bless you

You know why Satan hates us humans so much?We are created in the image and likeness of God,everytime Satan see us ,he see God and Satan hates God. Satan can’t kill nor hurt God but Satan can kill, steal and destroys us.Satan doing this to get back on God.But there is a solution,if we run to God,abide in His teachings,Laws, statutes and requirements ,God can protect us and nothing can harm us ,not even the whole forces of darkness,as long we are in His protective shield. We are safe and provided for by God.But that shield can only be broken, if we disobey God or we sinned against our fellowmen and against God. But if we repented on our sins and confess to God,God will forgives us and restore His protective shield on us only after we will displined by Him.
What are the sins against God, the number one is serving other gods or idols aside from God.The second most hated by God is serving, bowing, worshipping, burning candles or incense to it and give offering to idols , statues, images , pictures, symbols and other things that surpasses our love to God.
Now ,what is your situation or condition in the light of these. Only you knows and only you can decide which way to go.Its your life but whatever you will do or been doing, the Son of the Living God Lord Jesus Christ is waiting for you.He is knocking at your heart waiting to be invited in and be your Friend,Savior and most of all Lord and God forever. It is your decision, but do not delay for the time is near for all of these things on earth and heaven will be replace by a new one.Do not delay,He is waiting for you.God bless you.

I refuse to believe in a god who is the primary cause of conflict in the world, preaches racism, sexism, homophobia, and ignorance, and then sends everyone to hell if they are ‘bad’.

      • tms
        May 16, 2010 at 5:34 am

The “god” you are describing above is not above the same God that the Bible reveals to us. Just like in any sound, historical, factual research, you cannot simply grab several paragraphs from here and there without the full of context of the Bible (containing 66 books and 1,129 chapters) and attempt to interpret and sum up the nature of someone – in this case, God.

The true God was NEVER “the primary cause of conflict in the world, preaches racism, sexism, homophobia, and ignorance.” You misunderstand His giving of FREE WILL to humans as the primary cause of evil, when it’s, in fact, a solid proof of His selflessness and great love for us. God basically is saying, “Child, I love so much that I will allow you to CHOOSE to either ACCEPT or REJECT Me as your God.”

And yet, the full majority of mankind, of course, CHOSE to REJECT Him because they want to their own gods, not having to be accountable to anybody else but themselves, not wanting to admit that there is Higher Being than them Who knows not only which is good, but the BEST for us (thus, He gave us His instructions/commandments on how to live our lives). there is a saying that goes, “The enemy of the best is not the bad, but the good enough.” and this is what i see in many people today who refused to believe in God: is life without acknowledging, believing in, and knowing God bad? No! But it’s good enough… and we’re quite comfortable.

“and then sends everyone to hell if they are ‘bad’.”

Sean, you are gravely deceived. The Bible never declared that you go to hell because you are “bad.” the truth is, that no one can ever be bad enough or good enough to earn Salvation (eternity in heaven).

“For it is by GRACE you have been saved, through FAITH—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— NOT BY WORKS, so that no one can boast.” – Ephesians 2:8-9

“Let it be known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man (Jesus) forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, and by him everyone who BELIEVES is freed from everything from which you could not be freed by the law of Moses.” —Acts 13:38-39

“because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” – Romans 10:9

“Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid.” – Isaiah 12:2

There are many proofs throughout the Bible that assures us that God never required good works/character in order to go to heaven. We just have to believe in Him and His Word. He knows that we cannot perfectly obey His commands out of our own effort, which is why He sent us His Son Jesus to die for us and be raised from the dead, so we will believe that He truly is our God. Salvation or going to hell never depended on our sins/goodness; we only need to believe and accept God as our personal personal Lord and Savior. otherwise, we go to hell; it’s a law as natural as law of gravity.

i see that you are passionate about facts – the truth… but searching for the truth requires humility, admitting that you don’t know it all. Nobody can truly find the truth just to disprove something. i pray that you will search the Truth with humility going forward.

since villanueva onc again failed to be elected, the prophecy was false? and what does that make the prophet?

    • jundp
      May 12, 2010 at 4:51 am

the prophecy can still be true as attested by blogger timpaul’s admission that there is indeed no timeline after he reviewed the video .. let us therefore stop insinuating that the prophecy is flat false because cj spoke the prophecy in the english language, a language which most of us are familiar with .. but with or without the prophecy, i rooted for BROTHER EDDIE because of his character, his passion for the welfare of his countrymen and most of all, the fear of God in him .. and even if BROTHER EDDIE lost this election, readers of this blog were exposed to the Word of God which is a good thing .. good for those who will respond correctly but terribly bad for those who will do otherwise .. it is always good to be on God’s side .. remember, satan together with 1/3 of the heavenly host that he has deceived, rebelled against God but to no avail .. as estipona ng davao is saying, it is best to be on God’s side, guided and protected by Him from the enemy and his angels .. we are way too inferior, capability-wise, than the fallen angels, being supernatural beings, but were deceived anyway by lucifer to rebel against the almighty God ..

      • May 12, 2010 at 5:31 am

“timpaul’s admission that there is indeed no timeline after he reviewed the video”

Just my one cent. indeed no timeline. there is still 2016, 2022, 2028, and so on. Unfortunately, Bro eddie himself admitted he wont run again. So the question of wawam remains unanswered. just because his congregation supported him and voted for him in the election doesn’t mean they’re his “followers.” when you say “followers,” you’re implying that they worship him and put their faith in him. but if you carefully observe, i think most people who voted for him ultimately wanted a godly man with biblical principles to be the president and voted him WITH FAITH IN GOD – not in Bro Eddie or his words – even though most people knew that him winning is the most impossible thing to happen in our lifetime. but as the Word of God says, “nothing is impossible in God.” nevertheless, God’s ways and thoughts are higher than men’s.

You can view that Bro Eddie’s failure to win the election is a big ridicule, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that the Christians who voted for him are “cultist.”

i define cult as anything else other than what the Word of God (the Bible) says, and as far i have observed, the ministry of JIL Church has preached the true Gospel of Christ which is salvation ONLY by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone – NOT by works or obedience in legalistic man-made rules.

I used to be a supporter but not anymore. I won’t answer the question but I want to add 2 cents on this topic by sharing this:

… I saw a comment saying, “if ECV will not win the presidential position then there is no hope for philippines anymore.”

Correction: There is always hope to our Nation. Because if there is no hope then that doesn’t come from God. In God there is always Hope ne. So whoever wins this coming election. There’s always hope in philippines.

The result of the study conducted by Sociologist Lorne L. Dawson University of Waterloo seems reflect what response of supporters of ECV (now and then) are in our version here in this 2010 election. (and so does the prophecy of the “Philippines will become America of Asia by the year 2000” and the “2004 election that ECV will surely win”)

On His 23 pages study, he emphasize the different response on coping with the dilemma on a failed “prophetic pronouncements” by a certain religious group (some of them very weird). Before the election i have read and study (When Prophecy Fails and Faith Persists: A Theoretical Overview) the sociologist findings. It is amazing to find out the the response of ECV’s supporters are PREDICTABLE and coincide with the response of the religious groups studied by Dawson and other sociology of religion expert such as Festinger et al.

    OTHER PATTERN OF RESPONSE

To date, the studies of groups who have made prophecies that failed
have uncovered at least five different patterns of response:

    (a) some groups survive and begin to proselytize;
    (b) some groups survive and continue to proselytize;
    (c) some groups survive but their proselytizing declines;
    (d) some groups survive but they do not proselytize;
    (e) and some groups neither survive nor proselytize.

these responses are from 13 studied religious group, and one of them is the Jehovah’s Witnesses failed prophecies (there are many websites that tells Jehovah’s Witnesses failed prophetic pronouncements).

of couse…supporters of EVC will find APOLOGETIC responses just to cope this… and for other group of evangelical christian it is inconveniently humiliating.

    • May 15, 2010 at 9:54 am

Some ECV supporter’s responses belong to another category and Lorne Dawson could learn from them and probably update his data in the next edition of his book.

      (a) some groups survive and begin to proselytize;
      (b) some groups survive and continue to proselytize;
      (c) some groups survive but their proselytizing declines;
      (d) some groups survive but they do not proselytize;
      (e) and some groups neither survive nor proselytize.
      Some ECV supporters
      (f) deny it was a prophecy.
      (g) quote many verses from the bible using their own interpretation and understanding to circumambulate the issue.
      (h) damn (albeit, subtly) those who don’t agree with them to their version of hell of eternal punishment.

about who won the election i believe kahit naman sino pwede gamitin ni God to bring change to the Philippines. naniniwala man siya sa Diyos or not. so i’ll salute and support ng mananalong officials this election. binoto ko man sila or hindi.

“we like to ask bro.eddie’s supporters AND OTHERS to put the discussion to a close with this thread. we are asking EVERYONE to give your reactions and thoughts.”

Wawam, no ecv supporter really took you up to put closure to this discussion. Some who answered gave evasive and circuitous statements without tackling your questions directly. Worst, one gave veiled threats of dire consequences and accuse us subtly of being under Satan by just disagreeing with them. As I belong to AND OTHERS, and at the risk of spawning new debates, here’s my 2 cents…

“what does it mean now that bro. eddie will lose this election?”

    Nothing. He lost. Period

“there was a prophecy made that bro. eddie will be president and this was supposed to happen now?”

No time limit. It was conveniently an open-ended prophecy. It can still happen in 2016, 2022, 2028, and so on. Lets do the math: how old will brother eddie be by those years and if he will run again?

“does the prophecy still hold now that we know the results of this election?”
    No

“why did the prophecy did not fulfill itself?”

Either it was a FALSE prophecy or a DELAYED prophecy. I believe it is the former because brother eddie said he will no longer seek the presidency again. Plus the one who prophesied has a history of failed prophesies. I did a research on her, thanks to the net her previous prophesies were recorded. The good book says a true prophet should be 100% accurate. So, unless there is another person named Eduardo C. Villanueva in the political horizon, this is not a delayed prophecy.

“what does the failure of bro. eddie’s bid to win do to your faith?”

Nothing. My faith does not depend on brother eddie winning the presidency. Interestingly, though, it was his loss in 2004, plus other circumstances, that led me to question my beliefs and eventually led me on a different yet wonderful journey of discovery, of understanding and learning many things not taught, and often contrary, to the teachings in most pulpits today. I can only wish the same to his avid supporters. That they use his loss to question their religious beliefs about God’s will, sovereignty, or why is their evil in the world so that a supposed “evil and unrighteous” candidate won over a righteous one despite prayer and fasting by His people, etc…Ask God many why, why and more why’s. Questions, the hard ones, are usually the start in the journey to truth and freedom. As they say truth makes you free. Let me warn them, tho, truth hurts before it can set one free. There is also ridicule and opposition to it and, well, being labeled names when one comes out openly with the truth. Because, more often, truth runs counter to traditions.

    “to your religion?”

Fortunately, I have already “come out of her.” I am free from her clutches. So nothing.

“how do you feel about this?”

I feel sorry for most of his avid supporters. I am sure they are sincere to see this nation rise from the moral, spiritual, financial abyss it is in right now. I also know most of them continue to be blinded by irrational faith which was just handed to them and accepted without so much questioning and studying it despite its many serious contradicting implications. Bottom line, this thing is all about RELIGIOUS TRADITIONS.

A CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF A FAILED PROPHETIC PRONOUNCEMENTS:

10:00 minutes video transcript of cindy jacobs prophecy for ECV at you tube.
at about 06:13 minutes of this video, heres what Cindy Jacob was prophesying:

…in 2006, i was in los angeles california. in a hotel…i had not seen bro eddie
sis dory for a few years i came up and ask if i could pray for him, i didn’t really understand the political climate of the philippines at that time and i said to him..(long pause) bro eddie..god showed me its his will for you to be the president of the philippines..(shouts from the audience, a piano music and followed by standing ovation..ECV wife was focus while crying)..that is god’s will (pointing her finger, i think to ECV)..well whether(audience clapping) listen to me, its not fate, its going to take..a nation of davids that says..we no longer withstand for a corrupt nation, we no longer to see the name of the philippines be smeared across the newspaper of the earth. i see this tonight, with fear and trembling..i did not mention this in the conferences weekend..because i didn’t want to makes the agendas, are make people think we have that conference for a political agenda…bro eddie (pointing her finger to ECV) you always will love your sheep, but god is calling you (long pause) to go..from the priestly anointing to the kingly anointing (shouting from the audience, music, and the camera was focus on ECV and his wife who is still crying)..would you come please..dory..come sis dory..(music was playing people was shouting while the two couple going up at the stage and Cindy started to lift her two hands and give the victory
    signs of bangon pilipinas)09:21 minutes.

    (a) it was prophesied 4 years ago at california before 2010 election. (a long time to contemplate and prepare)
    (b) it can be interpreted as an open ended prophecy because of this sentence “bro eddie..god showed me its his will for you to be the president of the philippines” not indicating on where in certain event the prophesy will occur.
    (c) but CJ proclaim that ECV will be a president by this sentence.. “god is calling you to go from the priestly anointing to the kingly anointing”
    (d) people are shouting and celebrate, CJ is lifting her two hands with a Bangon Pilipinas sign. sugesting that in that moment, people in that venue honestly believe that this prophecy will occur in the coming 2010 election.
    (e) but the prophecy failed.

Many ECV supporters will try to cope with this..and try to rationalize or use apologetic aproach..

I think ECV’s son Joel Villanueva is much more fit to become the “ONE” in the near future.(i have my “rational” reasons but not with another prophecy)

Yes Sean I agree on that, and one more thing is that we Christians should only exist to please God and not men. That’s why a lot of people most of the time does not understand why we’re doing this and continue to believe no matter what is happening in the physical realm. My prayer is that Filipino’s should unite now for the sake of the welfare of this country. God bless the Philippines.

basically, if you review the transcript there is no direct indication that ECV will win. but if you watch closely the video, you will notice as i said that ECV supporters honestly believe that this prophecy is applicable in 2010 election.
it is an “open prophecy” (bro eddie..god showed me its his will for you to be the president of the philippines)

this is a “safety net” that most self-proclaimed prophet, fortune tellers, soothsayers in our time always does…a safety net so clever that if FAILED, there is always a valid explanation to escape from critics and scrutiny.

      ECV supporters response:

study conducted by Sociologist Lorne L. Dawson University of Waterloo always confirm this response pattern. as i observed, responses from this election against a failed prophecy of ECV’s candidacy is predictable. responses on this thread confirmed that study…

That’s my point of view.

Just a penny for my thought if they’re worth it:
    1) As candidate, one feels himself to be “winnable” because everybody around him during campaign period say so. Dito napapasubo ang mga kandidato.
    2) Strong political machinery does not only pertain to those who will work in the campaign and for those who who would POTENTIALLY vote but rather on the choice of political “party line-ups” specially in the provinces.. Pag mahina o di kilala ang ka line-up, ed di and impression ay NUISANCE candidates.. walang boboto, damay pati sa party Head.
    3) Charisma is not just smiling on the tarpaulins or polyetos, people feel the candidates’ charisma when he speaks in campaigns and interviews.. Pag nakikita e puro bitterness o complains, eh di doon sila sa masaya.
    4) Politics divide people, even familys and churches are not spared. Huwag na natin palalain pa.
    5) When ask how they have ascended to the top, some noted personalities attribute their success to their pastors and/spiritual advisers. A pastor shares in the glory of his sheeps.

sean, timpaul and wawam are victims of religious fanaticism, and had never experienced the saving grace of Christ, that’s why they were behaving and acting the contrary. wag na natin patulan ang kamangmangan ng tatlong ito. if we will really summarize the arguments of sean, timpaul and wawam, they are mixing religions with Christianity. they don’t know the difference between christianity and religion.

Christianity (from the Greek word Xριστός, Khristos, “Christ”, literally “anointed one”) is a monotheistic, based on the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth as presented in the New Testament.[2]
Christians believe Jesus is the Son of God, God having become man and the savior of humanity. Christians, therefore, commonly refer to Jesus as Christ or Messiah.[3]

      on the contrary:

A religion is a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, especially when considered as the creation of a supernatural agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.[1]

summary: Christianity is what God did through Jesus Christ in order to reach out humanity from being lost..while religion (i know that religion is man-made as sean confirmed it)is a set of beliefs and containing a moral code in order to reach out God and man’s inability to please God.

if you are a REAL christian: we are commanded to love our enemy

      1. you must love wawam, timpaul and sean.. christians it is not an option.

      Matthew 5:43-48…Jesus said,
43.”You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[h] and hate your enemy.’ 44.But I tell you: Love your enemies[i] and pray for those who persecute you, 45.that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46.If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47.And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48.Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

      2. you must forgive wawam, timpaul and sean.. christians it is not an option.

      Mark 11:25, Jesus said,
25And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”[g]

Jesus said, if you hold anything against anyone(that includes wawam, timpaul and sean)forgive them, so that you christians must also be forgiven by our Father in heaven

      3. you must pray for wawam, timpaul and sean.. christians it is not an option.

      Matthew 5:44..Jesus said,
      44. But I tell you: Love your enemies[i] and pray for those who persecute you, 45that you may be sons of your Father in heaven.

IBINOTO KO pa rin SI ECV, kahit alanganin ako..ECV had committed many mistakes..even though it was God’s will for him to run as president, it was an utterly failure because ECV did it in his own way, instead of God’s way. I AM NOW SHARING MY ANALYSIS EVEN BEFORE 2004 NATIONAL ELECTIONS.

ECV is a minister of God to preach the gospel of Christ to the whole world, and to be a minister to everybody…BUT, aside from preaching, ECV started to talk against the president, the worst economy and the corrupt politicians. WHICH IS UTTERLY WRONG…when in fact as a minister of God…

his first duty was to pray for our president. God through the Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy in First Timothy 2:1-2

1.I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone— 2.for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

      1 Timothy 2 (Amplified Bible)

      1 Timothy 2

1.FIRST OF all, then, I admonish and urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all men,
2.For kings and all who are in positions of authority or high responsibility, that [outwardly] we may pass a quiet and undisturbed life [and inwardly] a peaceable one in all godliness and reverence and seriousness in every way.

we christians are suppose to help and uphold our president(believer or not) and all leaders of our land, and bring them(the leaders)to God through our prayers. so that they could think, plan and do the will of God for our nation..however, on the contrary…on national tv’s before 2004 elections ECV talked against our leaders in his tv program(Diyos at Bayan) and tv interviews…ECV was against the Word of God, and the Word of God is the Will of God. and ECV knows that.

here comes 2004 national elections, before and during campaign period, ecv didn’t stop talking against corruption and corrupt officials. was God pleased and happy of ECV’s action? or was it a blunder? here comes 2010 national elections, did ECV stop his style between the two elections? NO..he talked much against the president and the corrupt officials INSTEAD OF PRAYING FOR THEM.

why God told us christians to pray for our leaders?

2.For kings and all who are in positions of authority or high responsibility, that [outwardly] we may pass a quiet and undisturbed life [and inwardly] a peaceable one in all godliness and reverence and seriousness in every way.

3.For such [praying] is good and right, and [it is] pleasing and acceptable to God our Savior.

God wants us to live a quiet and undisturbed life and such prayer is good and right and God called it pleasing and acceptable to Him.

      to be continued…

As written is the bible Exodus 20:4-6″You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them;for I ,the Lord your God ,am a jealous God,punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments”.Idols or images that has shape or form of god, man, angels, stars, moon, sun, birds, bull, monkey, elephant, lion or any land animals as weel as fish or any creatures. All of these are abomination or detestable before God.Yet in our country, these things widespread from the biggest cathedral to the smallest chapel and home altars.Question ,do have one in your house or in your workplace or in your office. In Isaiah 44:18-20″ They know nothing, they understand nothing ;their eyes are plastered over so they cannot see and their minds closed so they cannot understand. No one stops to think,no one has the knowledge or understanding to say,Half of it I used for fuel;I even baked bread over its coals,I roasted meat and ate.Shall I make a detestable thing from what is left? Shall I bow down to a block of wood? He feeds on ashes , deluded heart mislead him; he cannot save himself ,or say Is not this thing in my right hand a lie?”. Ito po sabi ng Diyos . Idolatry causes man to be blind and dull which many of our countrymen are in that state of being. The ten tribes of Israel were lost because of Idolatry, only the tribes of Judah and Benjamin remained. In Romans 18-32: God gave them a reprobate or wicked mind ,lustful and faithless, cruel,no natural affection, unkind, murderer, selfish, proud and pleasure-seeker;Ano gagawin natin dito sa mga idols? Sunugin at durugin at itapon . Deuteronomy 7:25-26:” The images of their gods you are to burn in the fire.Do not covet the silver and gold on them , do not take it for yourselves ,or you will be ensnared by it,for it is detestable to the Lord your God.Do not bring a detestable thing into your house or you, like it,will be set apart for destruction.Utterly abhor and detest it,for it is set apart for destruction”.
At sa huling araw ,Revelation 9:20-21:”The rest of mankind that were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands;they did not stop worshipping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and woods-idols that cannot see, hear or walk.Nor did they repent of their murders, their magic arts, sexual immorality or their thefts.”

      i agree.
i wonder what religion you were exposed to that was so abusive that made you bitter even about the one true God.

He means Christianity. If you would just read a little about church history. From the new testament believers to the time when Constantinople adopted Christianity as the official religion of Rome to the Reformation, the time of Luther, then Calvin then down to the present. You would probably learn and realize that the Dark Age came about because of the Christian religion. It was the start of the abuse by the use of religion. Because religion is all about control. Unfortunately, the Dark-age mentality of those under this religion continues up to the present. For look at how they damn (if subtly) those who don’t agree with them.

Lets face it present Christianity (including born-agains, evangelicals, pentecostals) can be traced back to Rome. And despite the Reformation, some mythical and paganistic beliefs (and therefore attitudes) which Rome adopted and “christianized” from the pagan nations it proselytized remained largely unchallenged up to the present. The reason being that these are supported by centuries of mistranslated, and therefore misinterpreted, biblical words and passages. Thats the short it. It will, of course, take a detailed and serious study and research to arrive at this conclusion. I wish that the apologists who would surely oppose this post would first verify what I said before responding. I can suggest some internet site if they are open to it.

“Lets face it present Christianity (including born-agains, evangelicals, pentecostals) can be traced back to Rome.”

wrong .. the true christian church started in jerusalem ..

          acts 2 –

          Peter Addresses the Crowd

14Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: “Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say. 15These men are not drunk, as you suppose. It’s only nine in the morning! 16No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:
17″ ‘In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams.
18Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days,
          and they will prophesy.
19I will show wonders in the heaven above
and signs on the earth below,
blood and fire and billows of smoke.
20The sun will be turned to darkness
          and the moon to blood
before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.
          21And everyone who calls
on the name of the Lord will be saved.’
22″Men of Israel, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know. 23This man was handed over to you by God’s set purpose and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to the cross. 24But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him. 25David said about him:
” ‘I saw the Lord always before me.
Because he is at my right hand,
          I will not be shaken.
          26Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
my body also will live in hope,
27because you will not abandon me to the grave,
nor will you let your Holy One see decay.
          28You have made known to me the paths of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence.’

29″Brothers, I can tell you confidently that the patriarch David died and was buried, and his tomb is here to this day. 30But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that he would place one of his descendants on his throne. 31Seeing what was ahead, he spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to the grave, nor did his body see decay. 32God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of the fact. 33Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear. 34For David did not ascend to heaven, and yet he said,
” ‘The Lord said to my Lord:
          “Sit at my right hand
          35until I make your enemies
a footstool for your feet.” ‘

36″Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.”

37When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”

38Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”

40With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.” 41Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.

          The Fellowship of the Believers

42They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. 44All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. 46Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

          ——-

“You would probably learn and realize that the Dark Age came about because of the Christian religion.”

the whore of rev 17 masquerading as a “christian religion” ..

          • May 18, 2010 at 7:49 am

I agree, jun. “The whore” who adopted Christianity from the one Peter and Paul established and then changed their view of God to an eternal torturer like most pagan views their gods and from which the advice is given: “come out of her my, people.”

no one can deny that Christianity has been misused and perverted because of greed in power, control, and money. This is how you can truly differentiate the authentic CHRISTianity; a fake CHRISTian religion will preach salvation is by works (what to do and not to do – especially man-made rules – to earn heaven or hell), which was used by the Roman government to coerce their people to obey them. In fact, the infiltration of the anti-Christ within the Christian religion was prophesied even by Jesus Himself.

Nevertheless, regardless of how the religion Christianity evolved and branched out, it has nothing to do with the existence of a real, sovereign God and Creator, and our inevitable destiny if we do not make a decision for our own selves to put our faith in the true God alone. Otherwise, we are on our own with our pride, heading to eternal separation from God. this is why it is critical to study the Word of God ourselves to find out the truth, which I believe to be the Bible. I believe in the one true God of Paul, Peter, David, Jacob, Abraham, Adam and Eve. the thing is, many too quickly conclude the Bible to be humanly erroneous without carefully and HUMBLY studying the Bible itself.

Whatever we do and decide to do and to be God will account everything we had done as written in Eccl.12:13 ” Now all has been heard;here is the conclusion of the matter;Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil”. You asked ‘ Who is this that obscures My counsel without knowledge ?’Surely I spoke of things I did not understand ,things too wonderful for me to know. well, like the bible says, “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.”

so there will be some left. but just really, really, really few.

many just confess that they believe in God and are Christians, but didn’t really combine their lip service with true faith. true faith requires surrender of one’s will to his Lord.

this is a “safety net” that most self-proclaimed prophet, fortune tellers, soothsayers in our time always does…a safety net so clever that if FAILED, there is always a valid explanation to escape from critics and scrutiny.

      • jundp
        May 14, 2010 at 5:17 am

but even if it is like a “safety net”, the pronouncement, declaration or statement can still be true about God .. the question is, how did we respond to it? .. did we respond by being subjected to it or by attacking it? ..

        • May 14, 2010 at 5:31 am

The response will depend primarily on the trustworthiness of the one who made the declaration or pronouncement, one’s religious leanings (whether one considers himself belonging to “a nation of david”) and a little bit of reality.

          • jundp
            May 14, 2010 at 12:32 pm

whoever made the pronouncement does not matter as long as the pronouncement is true .. it is just like caiaphas prophesying that the Lord Jesus would suffer for the sin of all men ..

matthew 13 – 10The disciples came to him and asked, “Why do you speak to the people in parables?” 11He replied, “The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. 12Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. 13This is why I speak to them in parables: “Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand. 14In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: ” ‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. 15For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes.
Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.

application is still the same .. fictional stories to convey spiritual truths .. but primarily intended for those people who have decided to go against God from the start because they do not have the love for God in them ..

        • May 14, 2010 at 2:20 pm

Actually the passage of the rich man and lazarus was intended for his own people, the jews, and not the gentiles. Its no different today, the msg of the parable of the rich man and lazarus is intended not for the gentiles
(unbelievers-those you think who have decided t go against God) of today but to his very own ppeople also, the spiritual jews. Thats putting it in context, jun. The msg is for you who call yourselves christians. So it couldn’t be in support of your hell.

My personal belief why Bro. Eddie lost…
    1. Wrong perception of the prophecy…Cindy Jacobs prophesied of 2 cases i Costa Rica & South Korea, both became president. But studying the lives of these men, they were both politicians…meaning they have established themselves for that position long before it happened. A preparation of sort (like that of David). Bro. Eddie did not hold any public position which he should have done by running for senator last 2007 (after losing 2004. But he didn’t. The prophecy should have pushed himself to position for that.
    2. Wrong strategic steps that caused his lost….Whether we like it or not, he is a born again leader despite his efforts to shy away from this. Firstly, he declared his candidacy in Barasoain church (despite its historical significance), it is is still a catholic church. That signaled his political ploy to win catholics (but compromising his faith)., secondly, he chose a seventh-day adventist which is another political ploy but backfired on him as many christians were not totally sold out. Thirdly, his compromising statement to the late-erano manalo, leader of INC, calling him a great servant or leader of God. That was really something offending to most christians honoring someone who has battled against the fundamental Christian faith for so long. Fourthly, his another compromising statements for Quiboloy last Feb 3. That really turned off a lot of believers. (Just check out the Youtube). Fifthly, the overzealousness of his supporters by making Bro Eddie the only hope for our nation and condemning christians who will not vote for Bro Eddie. Sixthly, the politicization of the campaign by joining the politics of mudslinging of the Bro Eddie Campaign. It’s so unchristian to join the name calling of other candidates. Seventhly, the mannerisms of bro eddie camp to exaggerate figures like what bro eddie boasted that he was the one cheated in the last 2004 elections. Many texts and claims have said that they have 3 million votes from JIL alone, 5M from muslims. They also claimed landslide victories on overseas and local absentee voting which has no basis at all since it is not yet published after may 10. AND lastly, Bro eddie is perceived to be not ready yet for such task. His pronouncements of eradicating 80% corruption in 7 days(Puso sa Puso) was received as too idealistic. His plan to become DND chief seemed to be too dangerous. He did not plan much of his political plans. He has to have a grasp of the real situation. And I believe, he is more effective as an spiritual adviser to the president…GOD BLESS the PHILIPPINES….Babangon pa rin ang PILIPINAS!

this blog has taken a very strong and highly consistent view that eddie villanueva will not win this election. we have taken that view across the campaign period, pointing out weaknesses in the villanueva campaig as they occcured.

we have taken that position using marketing, advertising and political principles that point to the suceess or failure of a campaign.

that view has been contradicted by many of the religious supporters of villanueva, most of them based on the posts here appear to be members of the religious group of villanueva.

we now have practically the complete results of the election where fro sure villanueva will not win this election. given the difference in view this blog has taken versus the views of villanueva’s faithful, does this mean marketing, advertising and political principles trumps religious belief, prophecy and faith?

Your concept of atheism is wrong because atheist/atheism is defined as the position that there is no deity, which mean that if a person doesn’t believe in the existence of a god or gods then that is atheism. Christians during the old times were not called atheist because they believe that there is GOD.

    Sean :

I strongly agree with this analysis. Even me, I was skeptical and critical to Bro. Eddie running for president. And also, I am very saddened by the prophecy that was brought out (if it is really a prophecy) because it will stir-up and weaken the faith of those who just began their devotion and conversion.

There are lots of things that Bro. Eddie have to answer to GOD for the decisions he made. I will not make analysis regarding the prophecy or declaration, because only people with the guidance of the HOLY SPIRIT can discern from revelations.

“@ jundp – is being perpetually in-denial part and parcel of your religion?”

    no ..

“you are in denial during the campaign period that villanueva was losing,”

i never said that BROTHER EDDIE was sure to win .. you are barking at the wrong tree ..

“you are in-denial of the failure of the prophecy”

i do not believe that it is a prophecy but a pronouncement or declaration of what the will of God is .. i simply supported a candidate who, in my opinion, is God-fearing .. you are again barking at the wrong tree ..

“and now you are in-denial of marketing and advertising correctly predicting the outcome while the prophecy has failed.”

the question is applicable to other eventualities where God may honor the belief, the faith and especially the prophecy if the prophecy is from Him ..

“what kind of religion do you have? reminds me of a cult.”

definition of cult – religion or religious sect generally considered to be extremist or false, with its followers often living in an unconventional manner under the guidance of an authoritarian, charismatic leader.

i am not a member of a cult .. again, i simply supported a candidate who, in my opinion, is a person who is God-fearing ..

Then what makes Prophet Dr. Cindy Jacobs different from Apollo Quiboloy, jun? Not to mention those who believe in them…

the pronouncement that God wants a leader like BROTHER EDDIE, who is God-fearing, to be the president of the philippine is true .. i am centering on the pronouncement, not the pronouncer .. you have also pronounced things that to me is untrue so should i brand you as a false believer? ..

“brother eddie, god showed me it’s his will for you to be the president of the philippines…”-Prophet Dr. Cindy Jacobs

Doesn’t that qualify as prophecy, jun?

First on the prophecy of Cindy Jacobs for our country. What exactly the words or statement or statements that you do not agree?Or do you agree? For that reasons, you viciously label against her? Please state it here so we may know.Do you agree or disagree with the prophecy or pronouncement as you put it?
This prophecy is similar to the statement of Dr.Luther King Jr. of “I have a dream”.Only higher in purpose.
If all people(you and me and other Filipinos) will humble down to God,the Creator of heaven and earth, confess our sins and the sins of our forefathers of idolatries, mary worship, dead saints worship, worship of anitos, worship of animal spirits-dragon,rooster,tiger;murders,sexual immoralities such as homosexuality, lesbianism, rapes, incest, bestialities, sodomies, fornications-pre-marital sex, adulteries, pride, injustice, oppression of the poor, landgrabbing or stealing, unjust gains-price padding-false scales, graft and corruption,stealing,child-abuse,wife-husband beating or abuse, pornographies in any form,high-mindedness,drunkeness in liquour and drugs,self-indulgencies,revelries or orgies, abortions, falsehood in any forms, witchcraft or magic arts-feng shui or horoscope or fortune-telling ,self-worship,unbeliefs and worship of other gods(which are not gods) and after that, ask God for forgiveness of all above sins, then God as He always promised He will forgives us ,as a nation and as an individual. As He promised,He will cleansed us as a nation and as an individual also and healing will come to our land as God promised in His prophecy.
Question,Do or did you repent of your sins and the sins of your ancestor?
Did you submit your will and plans in life to God’s plan and prophecy?
Or are you still rebellious ,God-haters and self-indulgent?

Here is my take on why Brother Eddie lost in this election:
    1. Framed his campaign on a catch all issue of Righteousness to cover corruption, poverty, competence, track record and performance. In social marketing his campaign fails to zero in to the Unique Selling Proposition. In Michael Porter’s technobabble, his positioning in the market. Ano ba ang talagang ibenebenta nya? People cannot concretize righteousness.
    2. Strategic Planning Failure. Before he launched his campaigned he should have looked into the critical issues and look at himself and analyze whether he has the attributes to meet these concerns. The twin giant issues are corruption(40%) and poverty (40%). He does not have to look far or conduct his own situational analysis. All surveys have announced this. No candidate except Noynoy focused on this. Villar and Erap focused more on poverty. Noynoy focused more on corruption and he slid later for Villar to catch up. Noynoy later changed tack and changed his message to poverty and corruption. All others focus more on competence, performance, track record,…etc and they got nowhere. Brother Eddie should have also focused on these twin issues but using different slogans or catch phrases.
The voters similar to a market is harsh and it only rewards those who respond to their wishes. If one goes againts what the market(voters) wants the market will punish you. This where the surveys are really critical. It is very expensive and most likely you will get inaccurate result if one goes around the country asking what are the critical issues to the voters, hence the lesser expensive surveys. All except Manny Villar, Erap and Noynoy hate the surveys hence they failed to frame their strategies on what the people wants. This is what i reply to the various blogs and they hate me for saying that competence is not the issue but competence to remove or eradicate corruption and poverty. People will not respond even if you are superior in experience, performance, righteousness, track record or competence if you cannot connect this to corruption and poverty.
    3. The next strategy is credibility. It is not credible for Brother Eddie to say that he can eradicate corruption within 7 days. The perceive quality of a candidate must be believable not exaggerated.

The result of the election confirmed the foregoing failure in messaging.

There are nothing wrong about Bro.Eddie’s campaign slogan or focus. It is the response, reaction or rejection of the voters to the message or campaign slogan. For example ,you said “people can’t concretize righteousness”. From God’s view point ,righteousness is the absence of sins, iniquities or transgressions, wickedness, oppression and injustice. The absence of man sinning against God and absence of man sinning against man , this is God’s standard of righteousness. The voters knows what Bro.Eddie stands for, he stands on the standard of God’s righteousness and also knowing he is a uncompromising pastor and committed campaigner against graft and corruption. But the majority of our voters rejects God’s standard of righteousness . God’s righteousness is to acknowledgement God not as an idol but a living and all-powerful God who created heaven and earth. God’s righteousness is to believe in Him alone not to believe on any supertitious beliefs, not to believe on images nor on statues nor symbols nor amulets. God’s righteousness is all men must accept His Son as the Way,the Truth and the Life as the ticket back to Him not on mary nor on dead saints nor on putting different gods from other lands nor on anitos. God’s righteousness is to accept His salvation a free gift not be bought by millions of good deeds nor donations. God’s righteousness is man will humble to Him and accept that all of us are sinners that we cannot save ourselves nor able to change ourselves on our own strenght and knowhow.God righteousness that man will repent and confess all his or her sins and must turn away from all forms of sins ,to turn away from pride,to turn away from lust of the flesh and to turn away from covetousness, turn away from greed, turn away from sexual immorality ,turn away from idolatry and turn away from evil and wickedness .
But majority of our voters and people do not accept God’s standard of righteousness and majority wants to continue their old ways. I do not wonder nor amazed that majority did not vote for Bro.Eddie Villanueva.

Eddie Villanueva noong 2004 at ngayong 2010. I can’t say if it holds true for the other four supposedly frontliners.
    • 4th watch votes
    • Dating Daan votes
    • Nur Misuari Muslim votes
    • JIL votes
    • Body of Christ votes
    • Scattered Catholic Votes
    6. Bakit gustong-gusto ng PPCRV ang automated election. At bakit sobrang parallel and almost walang discrepancy ang COMELEC AT PPCRV result? (Will these still hold true kapag binilang ito manually?)
    7. Bakit inalis ng smartmatic and all its cohorts ang security features ng balota?
    8. Bakit silent ang palasyo? Dahil kaya sa “Prime Minister Gloria” is in the air (kapag naging parliamentary form of government na tayo) mababalewala na ang Pangulo (Goodbye noy, agad?)
AND IF NOYNOY TRULY WANTS CHANGE AND CORRUPT-FREE PHILIPPINES, HE SHOULD BE BRAVE AND MAN ENOUGH TO LOOK INTO THE AUTOMATED ELECTION MESS, EVEN IF IT MEANS THAT HE EMERGED AS NOT WHAT HE HOPED TO BE.

Maybe HE ALLOWED THESE THINGS TO HAPPEN, FOR THE MEANTIME, LET GOD BE GOD!!! HE IS FULL OF SURPRISES.
I still in believe in the prophecy. FYI,Cindy Jacobs, Bro Sadduh, and others said – it takes a nation of Davids, prayer, fasting, repentance, and it takes unity of the Body of Christ for the fulfillment of the prophecy. IT IS THE PERFECT WILL OF GOD THAT RIGHTEOUSNESS BE RESTORED IN OUR COUNTRY….but our GOD is not a dictator, to be cowardice to stand for what is right is PERMISSIVE WILL.

Wawam,God did not fail, man failed God for man chose his ways and refuse to repent.
God done His part.He offer to us the free gift of life and salvation but majority turned away from Him and rejected His offer. If you read the story of Israel from King David up to exile in Babylon and banishment of the ten tribes. You will read how Israel, the ten tribes refused to repent but even did more evil and wickedness. God gave them warning by sending His prophets but no one listened they even killed some of them.Judah also rebelled against God. You know the root cause? It is IDOLATRY.You start at 1 King 11 up to 2 Kings(whole book). In these passages ,you will grasp and understand how important the role of the king of the nation, how crucial is the leader’s obedience or rebellion to God’s words and law is. Leaders or kings can break or make nations. You will understand why. Please read it with a prayer for enlightenment.
For now ,I just fall on my knees and bow my head and pray,Lord, will You hold your anger and wrath (that surely will come)a little longer ? That You might give them more time ,my people and my leaders to repent from their ways and ask forgiveness of our sins.Just as You relented to destroy Nineveh when they and their king repented and ask Your forgiveness of their sins as Jonah preached against them.Lord have mercy on us.I ask this in the Matchless Name of Lords Jesus Christ . Amen.

on eddie villanueva not winning the election for the 2nd time, the porphecy failing for the 2nd time….

    > did God fail? wasn’t it a promise that was not kept?
    > did the prophecy fail? obviously it did, why did it fail?
    > did the prophet fail (twice!)? how many times must a prophet faile before he/she is called a false prophet?
    > did the believers fail? perhaps believers of the faith should stop believing theur religion, their prophet or themselves?

Put another way, and just for closure’s sake, I would like to ask those who said that there is a landslide victory for ECV (janet, etc), to those who said that 2010 is the year of jubilee (whatever that means) on the premise of bro eddie winning and those who had the gall to invite us to ECV’s victory after the elections (eistein, etc) to explain why your claims did not come to pass.

If wawam is searching for spiritual truths that you guys claim to have, then this is the time to show him by answering his questions. After all, you used so much spirituality, AND GOD’S NAME, when you argued for ECV before the elections.

Wawam is actually asking you to clear God’s name (and power, will, sovereignty and plan) which you used with so much abandon during the campaign.

Ito po yung pride, lust of the eyes at lust of the flesh.
God bless you po.

With all due respect, I just hope Bishop Villanueva will give up his political ambition, refrain from listening to soothsayers who claim to have heard from God. Being a minister of the Gospel of Christ is alrady the highest office, why stoop down to desire the presidency which we know is saturated with dirty politics. I pray that he’ll use the millions of pesos given to him for the ministry to advance God’s kingdom on earth and not for his political ambition.

      its is simple Mr. Wawam….FAITH

FAITH = is a process of “non-thinking” even if the presence of massive evidence offered by science, reasons, (statistics!!!) or a mere “common sense” are very much obvious. At a glance, it is a noble attribute but as i see it..it is DEGRADING the basic human intellect as a complex species of evolution.

Imagine one time in history, that an experimentation involving electricity is forbidden as invoke by the early RC church (they claim that it is a work of witch craft or sorcery )..just think of where we are now if this stupidity and useless superstition are still in effect….and now, the faithfuls.. still..(in their blind FAITH) they opposing the RH bill that saves the Filipino people against over population and our woman’s freedom of choice to empower themselves…

Religion: it seems an endless debate even amongst the faithfuls as they throw endless claims that each of one of them are more SUPREME, more dogmatically CORRECT..thus it promotes “self righteous” thinking, homophobic tendencies…it tends and wants us back to the wreaking altars of it’s past…it opposes advances in science that will simply makes us humans a chance to be better.

    wawam :
isn’t faith for God and not to a prophet or a pastor?

    Kind of “cause and effect”:

a faith in a particular god (yes) together supported by a particular holy books or scriptures (common in most religion) that drives the faithfuls to irrationally blow his self off(suicide bomber) or proclaim himself by a prophecy to win an election (for the second time after a great loss)
