Leftwing party-list groups announce Ocampo, Maza Senate bids

MANILA, Philippines—Leftwing party list groups will field Representatives Satur Ocampo and Liza Maza in the May 2010 election in their first attempt to gain seats in the Senate.

In separate conventions held Thursday, Bayan Muna party list group and Gabriela women’s party nominated Ocampo and Maza, respectively, as their candidates for senator under the coalition Makabayan.

Both are serving their third and last terms in Congress.

Bayan Muna party list Representative Teodoro Casiño, who was also being eyed for a senatorial post, announced that he would seek another term in the House of Representatives.

Casino was nominated as Bayan Muna’s first nominee, followed by incumbent Representative Neri Colmenares and lawyer Joven Laura.

    We need senators who truly advocates pro-people agenda and serves as a catalyst of the reigning elite, however I hope that they will really consider who to support for the presidency.

      Sino ba ang may akda sa Party List representation?.. Kung sino mang presidenteng nag approved sa batas na ito… Dapat bawiin na.. Wala namang significant contribution ang party list in Nation Building instead Nation destruction ang kanilang ginawa… How many Billions are spent for this people? To the leftist, how do they spent their CDF… give support to their arm groups?.. DITO NAGING BOBO ANG MGA MAMBABATAS…

    With the NP-KBL alliance, i urge Reps. Satur Ocampo and Liza Maza to seriously consider running under the same ticket with Bong Bong Marcos. That would be very awkward politically.

    The team of leftist now seek senatorial position. They are advocates of COMMUNISM such as; Liza Masa, Teddy Casiño, Satur Ocampo and Baraquel. They are the front liner of their cause, the political arm of New Peoples Army. But who suffered much of their cause? The poor civilians who believe on their doctrine that in Communism all are equal…..THATS NOT TRUE.. I have been in this group in 1976. They mercilessly killed NPA members suspected defectors. We suffered much in the mountain without food, no clothing, no shelter and keep on evading government troops. Look at the life style of this people, they posses, car, beautiful house complete with amenities, they ate delicious food three times a day and recieve 35,000.00 monthly salary plus 10% automatic corruption from CDF….
    Now, who suffered much?.. the arm group in the forest and mountains… PATAY NA SI KA ROGER… kunwari itinanghal na bayani para pamarisan ng kapwa rebelde… KUNG MANANALO KAHIT ISA LANG SA KANILA THEN POSSIBLENG MAGTAGUMPAY ANG MGA KUMUNISTA NA AGAWIN ANG DEMOKRASYA…. AYON SA LONG RANGE PLAN OF THE NEW PEOPLES ARMY…
