noynoy aquino – President of Get-Arroyo or President Of The Philippines?
we heard from noynoy aquino himself, his first SONA (State of the Nation Address) will shock us. the shock according to him will come from his expose of newly uncovered anomalies committed by his predecessor, gloria macapagal arroyo.
when i first read that, i shook my head and my hand involuntarily went up to my head to scratch it and my involuntarily thought the fertilizer scam, the macapagal highway and the NBN-ZTE deal. these went on a horizontal scroll in my mind with a headline flashing at the top that said “These scandals are not the most shocking yet?”
aquino seem to be on a relentless pursuit of gloria macapagal arroyo, errr graft and corruption in national government. he did get elected to the presidency on huge anti-corruption platform so we are not really surprised why aquino is doing what he has been doing. it is an election promise and i guess much unlike previous politicians before him, we should not blame him for relentlessly pursuing GMA, errr corruption in national government.
now i am wondering – noynoy does look good when he is wearing his “President of Get-Arroyo” hat but when will we see much of his “President Of The Philippines” hat? we hope we will see that during the SONA or at least even a little over half of the time spent on the SONA would have him wearing his “President Of The Philippines” hat.
when we see him on that hat, i bet he will even look much better. let’s hope his “President Of The Philippines” hat is much bigger and prettier than the other hat.

a president of a country should be one who is after the best interest of the nation that he/she is leading .. so, whatever is to the detriment of the nation that he/she is a president of, he/she should do the best to benefit his/her nation .. common sense is the best gauge to guide his/her decision .. everybody has common sense .. only an idiot don’t ..
President Noynoy Aquino will be giving his first State of the Nation Address (SONA) soon. If his army of speechwriters will have their way, his speech will be all about giving people “hope”. Hopefully, it will not be full of motherhood statements similar to his election platform and inauguration speech. Heaven forbid that Conrado de Quiros have his way in writing it lest it be full of allusions to myths and legends again, and nothing of real substance. One thing is for sure; P.Noy’s first SONA will be filled with what he will refer to as a list of the former administration’s “faults.”
P.Noynoy Aquino will have another opportunity to lambast the former administration and to stress that he is “not superman” and that he “hopes that the Filipino people will have ‘reasonable’ expectations of him” or something to that effect or anything to lower peoples’ expectation of his performance for the next six years. We’ve heard it all before, but we’re crossing our fingers this time that he will give enough details in his speech to give AntiPinoy.com and his other critics, something they can sink their teeth into.
Read on. There’s more….
